Cervin was sitting on his living room sofa, silently reading while the TV playing some show on low volume. Normally he preferred to read in pure silence, but sometimes a little background static never hurt anyone.
It was an oddly quiet night, which was a fucking blessing considering what neighborhood he lived in. He reached over to his coffee table and grabbed his drink, sipping it softly as he peered over his glasses to read.
Knock knock!
Cervin raised an eyebrow and placed his drink and book down, turning his head to the door. He wasn't expecting anyone to show up. He sighed and stood, going over to the front door while adjusting his midnight blue cardigan. He had a sneaking suspicion it was a certain kismesis of his who tended to just... Show up whenever he damn well pleased, but was shocked when he opened the door and noticed none other than Sherco Cerade standing there.
Sherco gave his neighbor a sheepish smile, playing with some of his hair.
"0)-> Hey Cervin. Are y0u busy? <-(0"
"Not re a lly. Why?"
"0)-> Well uh... I just wanted t0 tell y0u s0mething, if that's 0kay with y0u! I understand if y0u wanna be- <-(0"
"Cer a de. Just s a y it."
The Indigoblood colored and let out a little giggle, his ears wiggling softly in embarrassment.
"0)-> Well I just... I just wanted t0 thank y0u f0r like- Taking time 0ut 0f y0ur night t0 meet my sister and get t0 kn0w her! She d0esn't have many friends and is well... Scared 0f pe0ple. She was really scared 0f meeting y0u h0nestly. But like- I think she really appreciated h0w p0lite and patient y0u were with her! S0 I just... Wanted t0 thank y0u f0r making her feel welc0med in y0ur hive. <-(0"
Cervin smiled a little and leaned on the doorframe, nodding slightly.
"Of course. I s a w no re a son to be rude to her. She's your sister, a nd you're my friend. I m a y be an a sshole, but I'm not one to everyone I h a ppen to meet. Your sister's a lovely l a dy a s well. You c a n tell her I s a id th a t."
Sherco smiled and chuckled, reaching over and pulling the Midblood into a tight hug. Cervin coughed a little but didn't respond with the usual "I can't breathe", instead just took the pain and hugged back.
