The task of buying home dinner falls on me as I am the earliest person to reach home. Today, sis will be having the Sweet & Sour Pork Rice (咕噜肉饭) from the tze char (煮炒) stall. The ketchup-based pork is fried with capsicum 🫑, onion 🧅, pineapple 🍍, tomato 🍅 and chilli 🌶. The fried egg 🍳 is an optional add-on.
Mum and I went with the bento sets 🍱 from the Japanese/Korean fusion stall. My Teriyaki Chicken & Spicy Chicken set comes with chicken cutlet, sauteed spicy chicken & onions plus mayonnaise and pickled vegetables. Mum had the Saba Fish Bento with steamed rice and kimchi.

Oh no, it is the fearsome mackrelegang!
have a nice week <3
I always ask mum and sis what they would like to eat the next day. This way, I can go straight to the counter to queue for the food as it is after all peak dinner hours. Let’s see what I got for them from the Korean/Japanese fusion stall. Sis wants the Saba Fish & Spicy Chicken Bento while mum had the Teriyaki Chicken & Spicy Chicken Bento. For the spicy chicken, you can change it to pork or beef too. As for me, I had the Teriyaki Chicken & Saba Fish Bento.
Later in the evening, I went back to the same Korean/Japanese fusion stall to buy their bento for dinner. The pan-fried blue mackerel in mum’s Saba Fish Bento is considerably bigger than those from other competitors and just as cheap if not cheaper than them. I had the Teriyaki Chicken & Saba Fish Bento which gives me the best from both worlds.
Dinner is not from the usual Japanese/Korean fusion stall across the street but from the Koufu Food Court (口福熟食中心) food court at Sun Plaza. Mum had the Hotplate Saba Fish Set 🐟 minus the hotplate when doing takeaways. I took the Hotplate Saba Fish & Chicken Set 🍱 with rice, kimchi and spicy anchovies.
