I always ask mum and sis what they would like to eat the next day. This way, I can go straight to the counter to queue for the food as it is after all peak dinner hours. Let’s see what I got for them from the Korean/Japanese fusion stall. Sis wants the Saba Fish & Spicy Chicken Bento while mum had the Teriyaki Chicken & Spicy Chicken Bento. For the spicy chicken, you can change it to pork or beef too. As for me, I had the Teriyaki Chicken & Saba Fish Bento.

Got mum this Saba Fish & Rice Bento 🍱 for dinner. Don’t be deceived into thinking they gave her a whole Spanish mackerel 🐟. The truth is that it is only half a fish. Anyway, the meal is still more than enough for mum and she like the accompanying kimchi side dish too.
More of the bento sets from the Japanese/Korean fusion stall across the street near to our place. The bento sets 🍱 sold here are value for money so we often buy from the stall. Mum said she love their fluffy fragrant rice. Both of us had the same Teriyaki Chicken Bento with only the difference being the spicy chicken and saba fish.
When I brought mum to the food court, she can walk one round and finds nothing to eat. On the other hand, if I bought my meal to eat, she will think it look good and will want it too next time. From the same Korean/Japanese stall in Koufu Food Court (口福熟食中心), came the Teriyaki Chicken & Chicken Bento and Teriyaki Chicken & Saba Fish Bento for dinner.
If we don’t feel like going somewhere far for dinner, I will just walk over to the opposite coffee shop to buy them. Mum wants the Saba Fish Bento from the Japanese/Korean fusion stall. As for me, I buy my meal from the Economy Rice (菜饭) stall. As per the usual, I picked three dishes starting with the crunchy peanuts and crispy anchovies, sweet and sour French fries & hotdog and lastly, savoury sweet pork with sesame seeds.
Back to the Japanese/Korean fusion stall at the coffee shop for their bento. Mum took the pan-fried Saba Fish Bento with rice, kimchi and shredded cabbages. My Teriyaki Chicken & Saba Fish Bento has fried chicken cutlet drizzled in teriyaki sauce and a section of blue mackerel or Japanese mackerel with rice, pickled vegetable and mayonnaise.
The three of us are all having the bento sets from the Korean/Japanese fusion stall located in the 24-hour coffee shop a stone throw away. My camera loves variations so here goes. :D Mum had Saba Fish Bento, sis took the Saba Fish & Chicken Bento and I opted for the Teriyaki Chicken & Saba Fish Bento. See the kimchi and pickled vegetable differences on the three bento? My colleague explained that because the first two are Koreans and the last one is Japanese. Do you agree with her explanation?
