Setup after moving into my house 💙
Great Waves of Kanagawa Inspired Theme
So i’ve been busy dealing with my academic workloads and most of the time I’m either anxious, stressed or depressed. Anyways I just want to share my new setup theme, since today is the only time I can rest wherein there is no new activity to be given.
My first purchase were my keycaps and artisan. This was a stressed retail theraphy purchase, but I gotta admit I have no regrets on this one. After my vintage inspired setup, I was leaning more into a weeb and japanese theme as lately I’ve been playing Genshin Impact and catching up on the latest season of Attack On Titan.
I’ve been thinking at first if I wanted an all white keycaps with japanese legends, but then I remembered seeing this gradient keycaps and the blue part were the main takeaway for me purchasing this set. Who knows maybe I’ll buy the white one when I get stressed so much.
The artisan was a no brainer part as my theme was weeb and japanese, so I immediately added this sushi roll into my cart. This artisan is locally made so I got it first and had to wait a week to get the keycaps which I can say is worth the price.
Most keycaps or keyboards shine after a few months of use due to cheap plastic used to make them, this time I made sure to order pbt which is a more expensive and higher quality of plastic; hopefully it lasts me longer.
The desk pad was a long time upgrade that I’ve been wanting to buy, but I was worried that it won’t fit my desk . I did some measuring before I finally jumped the gun on this one. Most custom desk pads are expensive, luckily I found a store that sells cheap high quality desk pads. I had to double check the reviews as the images on the store and customer reviews were definitely different, good thing this one matches my keycaps. Is there an in-depth or a weekly test for desk pads? I have just received this today, but I am already satisfied with the quality.
Well thats my current setup theme, hopefully next time i’ll be displaying a new keyboard but that is most unlikely. I’m more of an ergonomic person and would love to use this keyboard until it breaks.
My setup is definitely not that practical and a bit expensive, but I have this perspective that if you are using something for a long time and that’ll help you on the long run then you should buy quality ones instead of cheaping out and having to buy new ones or regret your purchase. In no means is this keyboard or desk pad will write my essays, but it’ll make me feel good and inspired.
