-So I headcanon Hawks as someone who appreciates honesty in a partner, so the fact that you can’t lie to save your life is a good thing (at least to him). Not that you’d ever willingly lie to him, at least in a serious situation.
-It makes it hard for you to surprise him with things because he can read it all over your face, and if you know you can’t lie, then you know that he knows when you’ve got something planned. So he doesn’t pretend to be shocked or anything, but he lays on the praise for doing something sweet and kind.
-You are, however, stubborn as hell. If you’ve got a prank planned, you’ll expertly dodge all his questions, giving him half baked answers about what you know isn’t going on and where things aren’t. During these times, he knows something is up but he can’t figure out what, and he knows that you’re not going to crack or give anything away. Best to just let it happen, Hawks.
-He thinks it’s funny to watch you skirt around other people’s questions though, especially the paparazzi. You’ll lead them in circles and turn their own words on them in such a way that leaves them confused and at a loss for words. He really loves how clever you are, and how you’ve turned what could potentially be a flaw into something really useful.
-He usually tries to open with people when they ask questions (as long as they’re not too prying) but when they get too personal he kind of just brushes them off. So he’ll absolutely try and learn some tricks from you, to better avoid nosey questions in the future.
-Oh god though, if you get captured by villains at some point because you’re his S/O? You’ll mess them up so much that they’ll be handing you back to Hawks with a little bow on your head and a note that says ‘sorry’.
-Like;
Viallin: “What’s Hawks’ weakness?”
You: “Well, it’s definitely not bugs. If it was bugs, he’d be nauseous constantly. I mean, have you seen his visor after a patrol? It looks like a car windshield, with all the little gross insects splattered on it. Also I don’t think it’s baked goods, unless you consider eating too much a weakness. I brought home a box of doughnuts from work once, left them on the counter overnight, and the next morning every single one of them was gone.”
Villain: //deep sigh//
-He also thinks that the face you make when you’re trying to fib is a adorable, a crinkle between your brows, the corners of your mouth quirked up. It’s so painfully obvious, but he just can’t help laughing.
-He thinks your habit is charming and funny, and he admires how creative you’ve gotten in the face of it. It definitely leads to some antics, especially when you’re trying to play jokes on him, but he appreciates the effort and lets you know such. I think it’s something that really helps perk him up, honestly!
