To borrow an archaic term from MCC S1 (thanks HBomb), I think False is the X factor of Blue25. And that’s because False can be an excellent strategist and communicator, provided False feels confident enough and her team listens to her.
Obviously Illumina is the stand out player and will be the leader by default, but I think False would make for a good right hand (to borrow a term from Ren—). And I think this team will be good for her because this might be a team in which she’s confident in, in which she’s neither the “weakest” player or the “strongest”, so she doesn’t face the pressure of leading/carrying while still able to thrive in her position as the right hand with her strategies and observations.
False-Illumina is interesting bc we remember what happened the last time they played SkB, plus they also won Rivals together, so I think they’re quite familiar with each other’s styles and have more trust in each other. I think they’re more comfortable with calling each other out and leaning on each other. Also maybe she can cancel out the DB curse.
So I genuinely think this team might be one in which False can get to “pop off” leader style. False is very observant even in the mess and chaos of MCC, like she’s always been the one to call out when the SkB border is coming down (even pre-MCC9). While statistically they might not be strong, I genuinely think this team is pretty solid.
