#marchmeetthemaker Day 29 Community One of the reasons I wanted to move from a rural village to a town was not only to open my shop but to be part of a creative community and to network with like minded people. I now feel part of the @thesuffolkscheltenham community (where my shop is located), the local wedding community who meet up at Wedding Fairs such as the WedFest @blankcanvaswedding on Sunday 15th April and the styled shoot community when we meet up to do a photo shoot like the one we did at our last Tea Party @atelier19chelt (next one on May 20th). I’m also a member of @glosguild and @blue_patch, an online ethical directory. And of course there’s the lovely Instagram community where you meet such amazing designers. #creativecommunity #weddingcommunity #glosguild #blue_patch (at Atelier 19)

#marchmeetthemaker Day 28 Organised! I try my best but I’m just not a very organised person and I have so much fabric, vintage haberdashery, lace, ribbons, threads and beads it’s a real challenge! I also like to store things in vintage tins so it’s difficult to remember where everything is. I do love my haberdashery unit where I keep my collection of lace and trims ready to be upcycled which now takes pride of place in my shop. I’ve had it since I was a teenager when my Dad (who was a builder) rescued it from a lovely old shop in Ross-on-Wye.
