I like how "BlueOakThistle" implies that Thistleclaw is the sub, which is fucking delicious to me.

Even if name order doesn't imply hierarchy, I would definitely rank him as sub, and Oak at the top given that he is the 'peacemaker' so to say

I order ships based on how nice I think it flows, not based on any sort of order. And/or I try to put more relevant partners next to each other (hence BlueOak and OakThistle -> BlueOakThistle). But if we were going to do hierarchical ordering, yeah, I'd say OakBlueThistle. I don't think the throuple works if Thistleclaw isn't deferential to Oakheart.

Now, and independent ThistleOak situation could be a different story. "You want to be with a ThunderClan cat? I'll show you what it's like to be with a real ThunderClan cat. >:3" And Oakheart maybe melts.

Wait, I just got a idea

I was thinking about Thistleclaw and Bluefur as foils, so what if they shared a boyfriend....

Like, Thistleclaw follows Bluefur to Riverclan in order to get dirt on her, accidentally also runs into Oakfur, then falls for the whole handsome riverclaner bit

The two of them still hate each other, but Oak makes them play nice while they are around him, and Thistle is very mad that he can't use that blackmail anymore because he underestimated both how charming Riverclan cats are and how gay he is.

I'm so down for this, I love silly little love triangles like this, where the mutual interest is constantly making the other two behave themselves around each other. I also like anything that makes Thistleclaw less of a one-dimensional cartoon villain. (And I like Oakheart getting some tom action because I'm like that.)

Picturing all the ThunderClan cats wondering at how the two of them seem to be getting along better at home, which is funny because "getting along better" still means they're glaring at each other and arguing, but instead of escalating it always fizzles out because like, neither one wants to be the one to break the peace, lest they disappoint their mutual boyfriend.
