BLUE PERK'S TRIP TO BARCELONA
Freddy Rodriguez of Blue Perk shares his perspective on his perspective on Barcelona.
Barcelona is a beach city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea that boasts rich history, delicious tapas, endless sunshine, and parties that carry on well into the next day. This city has a little bit of something for everybody, and has a well connected train system for day trips to cool towns and the kinds of beaches you think of when you’re planning a trip to Spain for a summer getaway.
While in Barcelona my favorite neighborhoods in order are: Gothic Quarters, El Raval, Gracia, Las Ramblas, and Eixample. Each offers something different and unique to its “barrio,” as locals refer to the neighborhoods.
As for touristic sites, you must visit Parc Guell and Casa Batllo. Gaudi might as well be God in Barcelona, and for proper reason, as his sites speak for themselves.
When it comes to beaches it’s best to visit Mar Belia, but just 30 minutes away is Sitges, a beach town that really shows what beaches on the Mediterranean Sea look like.
Last word of advice: Allow yourself to get lost in Barcelona and always try to travel by food. Oh, and look up. You’ll enjoy the city so much more!

Inverted Skater
Bracelet: Giles and Brother Pants: American Eagle Shoes: Vans Socks: Topman Sweater: J. Crew
From Texas to New York, a little piece of casual attire always stays with me when getting dressed. And recently as I've been told, I'm leaning towards the skater casual look. Even though I can't do more than stand on a skateboard, hoping I don't fall and break an arm. Playing with bright colors and fun accessories, this look proves that vans aren't only meant for the skater types. Even when I'm only spending my day at my favorite coffee shop in the lower east side, studying my life away before finals. Wish me luck!
