Slowly, slowly, Nagito calms down slightly and realizes a few things. There’s no hole in his chest, there’s no blood coming from him, the ache doesn’t go deeper than the surface of his ribs. Something...Something isn’t right. That’s not what’s supposed to happen when you’ve been shot. His trembling hands feel the front of his shirt, his jacket, and-- then he feels it, a slight electric shock to his thumb, the cracked and indented electronic surface, the little piece of metal now wedged into it. The shot hit his E-Handbook. Lucky. So lucky. 

All these dead people around him, Symbols of Hope killed by the Ultimate Hope himself, and he gets lucky enough to have his E-Handbook shot instead. 

Just like his parents had been killed in the plane crash, had burned in front of him, but he wasn’t touched. Just like a truck had swerved to miss him playing in the street and hit his dog instead, right in front of him. 

“Ahaha....ahahahaha....AHAHAHAHA!” It’s really funny how lucky he is, sometimes.
