A more widespread reptile- the Western Bluetongue (Tiliqua occipitalis) occurs from western Vic in the east to the WA coast. They predominantly occur in the southern half of the country and usually favour sandy habitats. They'll eat anything they can catch, but they're quite slow so snails and plants are big on their menu.
