Sapphires can come in a wide variety of colors, this sapphire is a deep sea blue and is beautifully facetted. It is 2.5 carats in weight and oval shaped at 8mm x 10mm. In terms of quality, its internally flawless and set in 1/10 sterling silver filled wire. This sapphire is not a "synthetic" but a lab created stone. This means that it is physically identical to an earth mined stone and is exactly the same mineral composition as it's natural counterpart but is a fraction of the cost. It's wrapped using a modified Pharaohs' wrap which allows for securing the stone while exposing the largest area of the stone possible to highlight it's sparkling facets.
