Xylum Say-Nice-Things Contest #NDCAEdition
As in past years, Xylum is doing a Say-Nice-Things contest to help get the word out about our new location within Michigan Debate Institutes!
*Everyone* who enters, without exception, will receive an update file containing a *brand new* kritik and some helpful 2ac cards -- we will send out the update file before the NDCA. For people already coming to the camp, doing this contest is a no-brainer.
Here’s how it works: to enter the contest all you need to do is make a post on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram (the more, the better) and send a *screenshot* of your hype post to [email protected]
That post must include the following:
**The Xylum sign-up link, with instructions to “Check “The Xylum Debate Lab” box. http://michigandebate.com/apps.php
**The dates of the camp, July 12-July 31, 2015 - University of Michigan
** (Optional )The social media account of the camp
Twitter: @xylumdebate
Facebook: Our Group
And we wouldn’t say no to a nice cat/space debate meme, either. Tasteful ASC-II art wouldn’t be out of place. Rock the graphic skills if you got ‘em. And always, please, keep it classy.
The deadline for this contest is April 10, but the sooner the better and you can enter more than once!
*One person* (or, in rare instances, two people) who goes above and beyond the “one-post” entry requirement or produce something aesthetically exceptional will receive the coveted ThunderSquid Award -- a package of awesome critique/culture studies/political science books & Xylum debate swag curated by Xylum staffmembers and mailed to your school or home address.
Past ThunderSquid winners include Ellen Dymit, who distinguished her post via a *limerick*, Jonathan Cook for extended Family Guy meme series, and though not technically done during an award period, Eva/Maya for organizing Xylum dodgeball team at the Glenbrooks & Kassie for making team tshirts #RealMVPs. So, as the ancient proverb goes: say nice things about Xylum before NDCA and all the world shall smile upon you!
