@blueyedemoness Claudia waited, wondering what the female was going to say after what she had told her. Of course she hardly believed her ears that she was being offered to stay with the cat. She thought it may have been some sort of joke but with the added comment of her needing some help, Claudia hardly believed that this was just a joke.
“Really?! That’s really kind of you Miss! I really would like a place to stay– and I don’t mind working… I don’t really have much to do with my time anyway.” She said her excited exclimation turning into a meek smile by the end of it. Things seem to be going well so far, she just hoped that she’d be able to adjust to this world until she finds somewhere else to live or just continue on her travels.
She gave a small nod before pulling an arm of his over her shoulders, her right arm tight around his lower back to keep him from falling, “mind assisting by taking hold of his other side, aye? This poor tosspot is like that of gold, ‘tis small in size, yet it is far more heavy than any other metal.“
Lifting her hood back over her head from which it had previously fallen from her wrangling him back up to his feet, the feline steadily guided them through the busy tavern. At this point her excuse of a knight had slipped into a battle for consciousness, his fur matted and reeking of mead. No matter, her home wasn’t too far out, only over the hill so bandits weren’t a threat unlike in the village. Ladies of questionable occupations had to tread carefully. Luckily no one were to be of bother on the way there, with a “wounded” knight at their hips and the sky, a bright orange and pink shining above them.
“See that large scarlet tent over yonder? where the small oasis is? That be our destination”
