what books do you guys read to level up your writing? Like beautiful prose, compelling narrator, etc etc

Right now I’m reading Confessions of a Mask by mishima and, although the translation needs an update, his style broke my writers block.

His writing pays attention to odd details that I never would have thought to write, as annoying as it might be at times.

For those curious, its about a homosexual man in wartime japan. The book blends his sexual attraction with sadomasochistic themes.
