We are playing our first gig tonight at Staffordshire University supporting Torpedoes and Blunderbuster! It’s a charity event for Comic Relief so come on down if you’re in the area, gig starts at 11:30pm!
We're playing a comic relief gig supporting our pals Blunderbuster March 13th at Stafford's Lounge! It's gonna be a good night!
Blunderbuster
my university has a rocsoc (society for rock music) they run a weekly event in the back room of a local pub costing a small amount of money to get into - with members having hour long DJ sets, you can listen to the music, dance and or drink (it is in a pub) - the cost to get in is largely to fund occasional live music events - last night i went to one such event, 3 bands, the first was a local band can't remember there name right now they were decent (better than the last time i saw them live - at another of these events) second was a band whose name i never found out but they were pretty damn good - quite heavy punk sound, proper good music. the third band which for me and seemingly many of the other people at the event was the main event was Blunderbuster.
they describe themselves as 'Celtic Punk Metal' - i feel this is an apt description. there choice of instruments being both electric and acoustic guitars (two instruments not an electric acoustic) bass, fiddle and drums. they are from Stafford. and let me tell you they are amazing absolutely amazing. if you ever get chance to see them live take it - it will be worth whatever you pay.
