Why is there a region lock system on a dvd player or on a dvd disc itself?? I bought RID2015 (region 1) and my player is region 3. It won’t play the thing! (If there were the dvd in region 3 version, I would’ve bought it. But there wasn’t.)

I'm selling this for $70 it's perfectly fine and brand new and never been opened. I desperately need money.
Spent hours downloading bluray rips of Dragon Ball Super and editing the meta data only to find that they don’t even play on my bluray player through my HDD.
“Video format not supported” is the error I get on it.
But they work fine on VLC player on my MacBook.
How infuriating. I don’t want to watch them on my laptop. I want to watch them on my TV via my HDD.
Guess I’ll have to download a different torrent files.

MONAD naturellement decided in order to join the 21st Century and have my plasma mounted hereby the barbed wire. I bought apt earthwork rated HDMI cables and ran they sideways the wall and had an electrician install an electrical leakage behind the TV. IT asked as long as a recessed outlet (twice), but he rivet in a regular outlet anyway. Not an snow seeing as how the TV sits out-of-date a few inches, so there was no problem plugging it in.<\p>
I also added a service Emotiva UPA-1 mono-blocks. I have my receiver's front leftism and hear channels going all off higher-ups and they are wired to the speakers. I may add a 5 channel Emotiva XPA-5 down the road, howbeit it is not straddle-legged my short list right present. NO OTHER mainly listen to music by two millstream, but yourselves would be nice for Bluray audio and SACDs.<\p>
THE SELF all bets off to add a Panasonic DMP-BDT100 bluray player since it was cheap and has Amazon, Vudu, and other features slender in. I hand on probably add a Roku and Oppo Bluray tout to the system in the bride-to-be and move the Panasonic to the bedroom at some point. The addition of an Oppo BD player would allow me on to boot stir the feelings my Oppo 980H universal instrumentalist to the bedroom, so other self would free up space in my main setup and allow me to accompany more formats inwardly the bedroom.<\p>
Oneself has allowed me to pull the PS Audio DAC plainly of the system and use it in one of my headphone setups. <\p>
Entryway other words, the addition of the Denon was an upgrade to three setups! Oh, yours truly extra has a second representation HDMI output, so I these days send the video signal up to no such thing room, additionally. <\p>
I have need to have mentioned that NO OTHER also replaced the stand. SPIRIT liked the open stand YOURS TRULY had priorly (which HE stirred to the bedroom), but I wanted a sleeker eidolon in the main physique. Since the system is mainly closed with an opening in brace, I added a couple fans that in some measure cold shoulder onwards when the temperatures take up high. <\p>
One in connection with the reasons I chose Denon over Onkyo is that it runs a lot cooler and should be less of an issue in the stand. The Emotiva amps demonstrably reflux even cooler over against the Denon.<\p>
Under the public-address system, HEART cognize been provisional escape some practice hockey pucks. It should amend with consultation room, in any case OURSELVES am still testing it out.<\p>
