im predictable anyweays.

ive been lurking content smp for a whilea actualy mainly Just form Rat's POV (funily since the first content smp video actually) so like by default hes my favourite but everyone's really really good from what i know, by proxy of watching rat i already am familaiar with lux's deal but not fully? i know there was yuri or something but i shall try to upgrade my status from tangential causual watcher to probably deeper in the lore because wow.

anwyays content smp seems to be a good spot to implement my silly headcannon abt mc modders from the pun of Java edition: eveyrone gets coffee themeed. i already did this with fundy orignally and then extended to other ytbers i watch, incl rat too:

ive had fundy;s design solid for a while now hes latte themed! i strayed a bit form the core "latte art insp" when i was in a bit of a funk but im brinign it back in, i knew i wanted to kinda shift the redesign but i wanted to do Lux first because i feel its fair and more in line what i wuldve done if i was into csmp longer : base fundy off of Lux more

plus i learn lux is moth thats so fun

ironcially lux's core clothes are already coffee ish coloured so it wasnt taht hard to translate the stuff between the skin and design, i just wanted to add the latte parts which is basiaclly the foam and the latte art stuff, i at first referenced cookie run because ofc then dsifed to give lux (and then fundy) unique latte arts liek their own emblems

(weird tip is just after doing the design is making a chibi/cookie design to see what i can cut or add to make the design work better)

i also added a LOT of moth themeing idk why i guess to tie the look together with the antenna shape (which is rlly fun) i also had to add stuff to kinda mirror fundy and lux together like a weird twin thing but not rlly, its kinda funny their clothes kinda have the same shape and order (jacket with collar over white under top and an accesory on the head) so i then iterated with same scarf, socks, length bottoms (skirt + shorts) and same goggles. also again same shape language withteh swirls and goopies, their hair also (fundy's side tufts and lux's fringe) are the same general shape)

for lux i also added the cabin ver with folly red (its liek pink but whatevre) and she looks even more like a moth its crasy, the change of the collar detail to folly red makes it kinda like the blouse of the folly maid dress which was unnitentional but hey that good, i might change lux over time, adding stuff but yeah i think its good for now im actually proud and it might be a favourite

i did fundy's redesign after and it was just basically reshaping it to fit with lux incl adding a tinge of purple, the tumbler is probably lux's, also i put his stupid fletcher hat feather thing because i think it was rllly funny him having that

also in my head theyre both adopted and make fun of each other for being from the bin but hey they could be related minecaft genetics to be like that i should know ToT

lux like me fr i too have same guy different dimension and it all connects somehow

anyways nox was fun to conjure up, i was trying to find a way to mirror lux's design and since the split from nox to lux all starts with freebird then i took that as the difference between lux still remaining free (aviator jacket) vs nox going down with the ship (captain coat)

ITS NOT RLLY CONCRETE BUT LIKE LET ME LIVE

Nox is burnt caramel latte, some latter symbols remain like the swirl stripse and drippy foamy milk, but most of nox's latte details are lost to show the huge personality split, theyre no longer the same lux from before. i took nox's charred skin to be like, healed by the power of *space* and thusly most bodily fluids to me are like glitery stars (imagine edible glitter in cofffee......ew....)

the injuries nox gets are direct opposite to lux's eventual cleaved arm, their other half seems to be fine. lux is a moth and remains a moth, in the alternate universe, after nox ig arose from the ashes of freebird re metamorphissded to be a butterfly, complete with halo, again blame it on universe travel

alot of elements are the same ish elements from lux but done differet to sell the parallelity (eg the hair tufts swirling in opposite places, the shoe butterly/moth feelers in the opposite way, luxs big moth apron framing the skirt vs butterfly shaped collar framing the top) it might be a bit too sutble but i duno

rlly the only tying thing color wise is the face nox and lux have the same color ties, except ones a littttttle mroe charred than the other :p

i havent designed things in soooooooooooo long

ok so main thing i wanted to do is have them all be connected with the red color for the redstone bug, thats why they have those markings

theyre all coffee themed because of my old concept of all modder/plugin/datapack ytbers, stemming from the joke of "java" edition

normally its meant for ooc designs but since their status as this kind of minecrafter is relevant to their prank, i think its worth its fair to have it more apparent

so fundy is latte, now specifcally iced latte, focus on white and fluff for like cream, ice for ice

pheonix is spiced chai coffee, i mifht make it different, change it to pumpkin spice but jsut gnenerally a spiced coffee, hes basically a researcher because of his cursed minecraft videos where he just bascailly reviews cursed minecraft things, hes basically a walking flaming guy

sethbling is the one im least familar but i know he does vanilla datapack stuff and like..... its so complex.... phsycics engine in vanilla..... so eah espresso because even tho its visually simple holy fuck is makign the best espresso shot is somehow so complex???? also hehe espresso steam i fidn it funny hes mario
