Terf feminists have terrorized me, blue. I can't do this anymore. Why are their takes so horrible, fym feminism doesn't benefit men? Fym trans women shouldn't be allowed in women's spaces? Fym queer ppl in m/f relationships should take their hetero-ness and leave us alone? I can't anymore save me I beg
Yeah it’s all really stupid. You are blocking these people, right?
Honestly it baffles me that they’re even called ‘feminists’. Isn’t feminism supposed to be about equal rights? What’s equal about insisting that the people they don’t consider women (or the right kind of women) deserve to be oppressed instead? Oh right, it’s because they don’t actually care about dismantling the patriarchy or whatever, they just want to cling to the power they already have.
Honestly what we really need is a world where there’s not really any such thing as ‘women’s spaces’ and ‘men’s spaces’. Unisex toilets are fine so long as there’s decent fucking locks on the cubicle doors. Same with showers. If the worry is that some men will ‘take advantage’ of it then we need to hold men accountable and raise them to not treat women’s bodies as sex objects. Or bodies in general. This is just “you shouldn’t wear revealing clothes in public because men can’t control themselves” rhetoric all over again.
As for the whole ‘no heteros’ thing, that’s even stupider. I’ll admit, I used to assume that ‘straight’ was the opposite of ‘queer’ until I saw a post about how plenty of queer people are also straight, and that’s a me problem. It really goes to show how all of these divides we make between different groups (men and women, straight and queer etc) are really just arbitrary and meaningless. Anyway yeah trans rights.

How A Small Dragon Helped Find The Light
Once, a long, long time ago, there were dragons living in a cave. The cave was all they knew. Its roof was their sky, its deep dark lake was their sea. The light that shone through cracks in the roof were their stars. One day, a small dragon wanted to see where the starlight came from. So he looked for a tunnel that went Up.
He could not find one. So he began to dig. A dragon that did not like him came and asked, “what are you doing?”
Small Dragon replied, “I am digging to find the light.”
The other dragon said, “don’t be a fool. You cannot find the light. It is too hard, and you are too small.”
Small Dragon kept digging, to prove that he could.
One of his friends came and said, “let me help. I want to find the light.”
Small Dragon refused. “It is too hard. This was my idea. I must dig to find the light myself.”
A second dragon that did not like him came and asked, “what are you doing?”
Small Dragon replied, “I am digging to find the light.”
The other dragon said, “don’t be a fool. No one digs to find the light. It is too dangerous, and you are too young.”
Small Dragon kept digging, to prove that he could.
Two of his friends came and said, “let us help. We want to find the light.”
Small Dragon refused. “It is too dangerous. This is my burden. I must dig to find the light myself.”
A third dragon that did not like him came and asked, “what are you doing?”
Small Dragon replied, “I am digging to find the light.”
The other dragon said, “you are a fool. You will never find the light. It is too far, and you are too weak.”
Small Dragon was very tired, and very sore, and very stressed. “It’s true. I will never find the light. It is too hard, and too dangerous, and too far, and I am too weak.”
Three of his friends came and said, “you are not weak. You are trying. Let us help! Together we can find the light.”
Small Dragon chose to listen to his friends, instead of the dragons that did not like him, and he let them help. They dug, and then other dragons helped to dig, and when the hatchlings grew up, they helped to dig. They dug, and dug, and dug, until at last… they found the light. And nothing would ever be the same again.
I think ‘living wage’ should be literal. A wage you get for living. I didn’t consent to this. You’re telling me I have to exist in a mortal body on a countdown towards the inevitable spectre of death and I don’t even get compensation? Bullshit.
Fanfic Writing Tips
Separate your paragraphs with a space between them. I use paragraphs of one to five lines. If you write a conversation between two or more characters, each character should speak in their own separate paragraph.
Be sure to check spelling, grammar and especially the tense you’re using. Most people write in past tense, so try to catch it if you’re slipping into present tense. For example, saying “she jumps” instead of “she jumped.”
Read through what you’ve written aloud. If you find yourself having to pause mid-sentence, or it somehow feels awkward, try reworking the sentence until it flows better. Honing this skill takes time and practice.
Don’t be afraid to include stuff from non-canon content, such as games, comics, shorts etc. They can be a good source of characters and backstory details if you have trouble coming up with fleshed out OCs.
If needs be, ignore canon entirely. Especially if what happens in canon makes no logical sense and is clearly a plot convenience. Or even if you just don’t like what happens and want to create your own version of it.
Take something from canon and extrapolate from it. For example, if you’re writing a modern AU, what jobs or studies or hobbies would the characters be likely to have in this setting that best suits how they are in canon?
Try and plan out your story in advance as far as you can, instead of trying to make it up as you go. This will help you to avoid being inconsistent and contradicting yourself. Use whatever planning method works best for you.
Most importantly, have fun! These tips are just a guide, not a law ;)
How To Be (Un)Productive
step one: decide to do something productive
step two: spend ten minutes picking a video essay to listen to whilst doing something productive
step three: start watching the video and get distracted
step four: finish the video essay without doing something productive
step five: rinse and repeat
My headcanon map for the habitat range of Night Furies in HTTYD. I’ve decided to compile all of my current Night Fury headcanons into one post. It probably goes without saying but I am disregarding everything that was stated about Night Furies in THW with regards to their territories/habitat. Habitat
Night Furies live in mountainous areas, preferably near the coast due to their diet of fish. This prevents them from competing for food with Woolly Howls, another mountain species that looks similar due to convergent evolution.
Although they originated in temperate zones, human encroachment forced them to expand north into the Arctic and adapt to living in colder climates.
They evolved in the Northern hemisphere, possibly in Eastern Europe, before spreading out along mountain chains around the globe and even south along the Andes. Despite their populations being hunted to apparent extinction in their ancestral territories, Night Furies have thriving populations elsewhere.
Mating Habits
Whilst males are black, female Night Furies are dark blue and iridescent. This is mainly due to mate selection as there is a correlation between the health of the female and how iridescent her scales are. The iridescence also acts as a form of disruptive camouflage, making them harder to spot against the stars. Both sexes are able to make their dorsal spines glow. Females use this ability during courtship displays to further show off their iridescence. The glow and the iridescence combine to form mesmerising patterns across their scales. Males use the glow as a dominance display against rivals and to attract mates. Brighter, more vivid glowing indicates a stronger and healthier male.
Night Furies challenge each other to races and perform acrobatic sky dances. The faster and more agile they prove to be, the higher their chances of being chosen as a mate. As they are monogamous they tend to be very picky, and try to find suitable long term partners who won’t fly off at the first opportunity.
Social Structure
Night Furies can and do intermingle with other species and live in communal nests. However, they still tend to keep to themselves due to being crepuscular and/or nocturnal as opposed to diurnal like most dragons naturally are. They form units consisting of a mated pair, their offspring, and sometimes their siblings and ‘in-laws’ so to speak. Now and then fully grown offspring or newly mated pairs in a group will break away and establish their own territories in a new location. This helps to prevent overcrowding and accidental inbreeding.
These family units often nest in groups, especially if space is at a premium, and help watch each other’s offspring. It’s not uncommon for multiple Night Fury hatchlings to be raised in crèches guarded by aunts, uncles older siblings and other adults whilst their parents are out hunting, and vice versa.
