After the Allies, the Axis ! Here is my take on the Blutkreuz starter set, an Axis Faction full to the brim with mad scientists, lasers, zombies and gorillas... What’s not to love ? I’m going for a “prison break” theme for this faction : orange, grey, metallic floor with drops of blood... it’s easy to picture these crazy experiments going wild as they run from the lab room/jail/gloomy barracks where they were “stored” :) Frank Von Stein is one of the most badass heroes of this game: undead wolverine ! Nuff said. The skin tone for my Zombie Grenadier Squad can seem a bit unusual, but I wanted something that brought more colors to the grey uniforms... my inspiration is actually the old comic books from my youth, where green-skinned zombies and decaying monsters where a common sight. I’m happy with the result ! Finally, the Heinrich Trop walker is a good AA vehicle, and Scout makes it perfect to put some pressure on the opponent... Paint-wise, it’s also very fast ! I directly washed the DUST primer for all the grey parts, and it saved me quite some time. Quick and dirty for the zombies ! :)
