ten years of blutrunst is actually making me ill to think about because if i think about who i was when i read the first chapter vs who i am now it makes me sick. but also im the same person and that person is insane. say it with me now "i have grown so very tired of eating alone." say it with me now "you don't deserve to be on his plate." say it with me now "take a nice long look. i'm patient and he is so beautiful." STICK FIGURE VIOLENCE!!!!!

And here it is! It’s my first time ever making something of this type, I’ve made some very simple animations in the past but this was a whole different kettle of fish. I had a good time, pushed the limits of my poorly chosen editing software as hard as I could and took a great deal of creative liberty along the way.

@incurablenecromantic’s Blutrunst is utterly spectacular, and creeping up on its tenth birthday, and what a wonderful decade it’s been. I hope you all enjoy my tribute to this very special work.

Anyone else ever want to cross over OCs from different 'verses?

So tempted to write a scene with both Tallulah Black Deyvill [co-created with KSClaw] from the Nightmare Dork University tales and Isolde Nymbostratus from IncomparableNecromantic's BLUTRUNST stories, depicting them as The Frenemies Who Lunch.

[If one adds my OC Anton Eglantin into the mix, I'm not sure whether he'd be a referee or a gadfly between the two ladies.]

Summary Enoch Barnes, the mayor of Pottsfield, has an old friend who would just love to have him for dinner.

This book owes its creation to my good friend @thefearofcod who extolled the virtues of this fic to anyone who would listen on Twitter for months. I finally read it - and it was a great pleasure and exactly what I'd been led to believe. I'd describe it as soft cannibalism and romantic leper body worship pining.

There's something so relatable about monster stories. It's so funny to me that this plot could be retold as an absolutely sinister and blood-chilling horror tale. But... this is.. not that whatsoever! It's romantic and charming and so full of coy sidelong glances as the wish for love and true mutual understanding flickers like a candle in beast's heart. Oof, I loved it really.

Inky was kind enough to actually muse on a Tumblr post about what the ideal physical manifestation of this book would look like. So I knew EXACTLY what to make!

I’m thinking white paper, hard black ink, heavy high-fiber black paper with silver lettering over the boards, deep red endpapers, and probably black headbands. What can I say, I love visual cliches.

@thefearofcod and I hoovered up every scrap of illustration and add on content we could cram in, and sat on a conference call to format it all!
