BM3 rambles/theories
okay so maybe im just crazy and overthinking, but we all know queen Bea loves concept albums, and playing with separation and overlap of abstract concepts (ie the whole colors theme of aurora), and based on the four singles we've gotten so far, taking into account the artwork styles and music videos, i'm thinking she's gonna put a split in her next album
so we have:
it's not u it's me
feel something
FEELS LIKE HOME
and NEVER GONNA LIKE YOU
with all of aurora having been in lowercase, the release of the first two singles was unsurprising in that regard, as it was consistent w her established pattern of song titles. artwork for both feature Bea herself, rocking her BM3 era pink hair, in an outerspace/futuristic element
but then she followed up w two songs w titles in all caps, and artwork featuring symbolism relating to the songs, and at first i found it interesting, but then i watched the music videos for the latter three, and it all clicked in my head and i noticed similarities, overlaps, and differences i hadn't before
consistent to the album artwork, the first two songs have a futuristic sound to them, along with music videos focusing on Bea that seem to take place very much out of this world, which serve to highlight Bea's message of feeling distant from the world/her emotionals, and the self reflection resulting from such
in contrast, the last two songs have more of a modern sound, and the music videos take the complete opposite approach; following (very much earth based) stories that convey the full range of human emotion, from harsh realities to overcoming difficulties. differences which are accentuated and enhanced by the lack of Bea's presence in said videos.
which leads me to a particular line from feel something: "watching my friends break their hearts into two/ makes me jealous, i know that it's cruel/ but what can you do" this line, along with the cinematography and story lines of the latter two music videos seem to suggest that Bea is the lens through which we are viewing these stories
this all leads me to believe that the next album will be split in two, half of it following the aloof, introspective, futuristic theme established by the first two singles, and the other half continuing to expand and explore turbulent stories and emotions as they're experienced in the here and now
tldr: i'm very excited for the album and to see how it actually plays out!!!!
