I been meaning ask when I see your post about the scene of Blaze roasting Ice is different between English dub and Malay dub. Why do you think it's so different?

Okay first, I admit that I didnt really watch BoBoiBoy in English dub because yeah I speak Malay myself.

Other than being different humor because the joke actually so fitting in Malaysia. But the joke is different. My thought is because BoBoiBoy own popularity fit the joke

In Malay, it state that BoBoiBoy is well know at Malaysia. I mean clearly. It's so famous that people actually pirating BoBoiBoy face to a pajamas. I freaking love how true is that. Haha. But outside of Malaysia BoBoiBoy clearly not that famous yet. The joke is fitting because be honest Malaysian people dont watch it English 🧍🏼 because...why would they??? I like how the joke reflec that about BoBoiBoy

You forgot to add the context that cheap pirate copies are often sold in night markets/pasar malam. So now these Boboiboy-rip-off kids jammies are not only sold in night markets, there's a lot of those in e-commerce platforms too (y'all familiar with Amazon, we're here with Shopee). So "a face like yours is all over the place (directly translated)" is fit for Malay context

"Muka macam kau ni bersepahla"

When direct translated it sounds like

"I've seen a lot of face like yours. A face like yours is all over the place" (in an insulting way)

Now here goes the second context that is used for the ENG dub. People in Malaysia also call people with typical face "muka awam"/" 'public' face ", which means "average Joe/Mary" or "you're not that special". Which you lowkey had to agree without the white hair and cap Boboiboy's a typical MC face with brown hair brown eyes. Yep. "Plain" as ENG Blaze worded it.
