[Club stuff] BMES: Been communicating a lot with grad students and national BMES representatives about events for the club. Really proud of how the club has performed so far this year, the grad students have started commenting on how we have hosted more industry events than any of the previous years.  I’m really hoping to set up a fundraising system so that next year we can take a group of undergrads to the national BMES conference - something that should’ve been established a whileee ago given how very little UCI undergrads get to go to that conference each year. (This year I was one of three to go- only two of us presented our research) Will also start organizing joint health industry events with the school of business. Hurray for networking~ Tau Beta Pi: Initiation process on track but so much juggling involved because of BMES and the conferences I attended this quarter. Planning to run for president next quarter because the current president highly recommended that I do so. I’m guessing the juniors in the current cabinet don’t have as much leadership experience. It’ll be interesting to see a female BME president running a club that is mostly male, Aero, MechE, Electrical, etc. Holding Vice President and President positions for two campus engineering organizations  sounds pretty challenging.. but I’m always up for a challenge and I doubt there’s anyone else that is as qualified as I am at this point.  Its crazy how many professors, grad students and undergrads know my name at this point @.@ I guess it comes with being so involved on campus and in lab.
