"Let's head up! Fifth floor boys are next!"
"We'll start with Sero!"
"We're seriously going to every room?!"
Uraraka nudges you with her elbow. "Lucky you." Your brows furrowed in confusion.
"C'mon," Mina calls your name and then whispered, "you're gonna spend alot of time here, aren't you lucky because of how good his room looks?"
"Yeah." You nodded but the smile didn't reach your eyes. "I'm gonna turn in now. I'm sleepy. See ya."
---
Hanta wanted to walk you to your room but you declined his thoughtfulness. Man, he wanted to stay up late with you after the King Room contest but you seem tired. You looked at him for a moment, before you tugged at his shirt, a signal for him to lower his head. You press a chaste kiss on his lips. When you pulled away, your face hovered for a few seconds before saying, "Good night."
"..yeah, night."
He watches you walk away as he raised a hand to cover his lips pensively. At that moment, Hanta thought something felt off in a way he hadn't felt before. But it was such a vague feeling that he didn't give too much thought into it. His gradual sense of unease deepened as the week progressed. You had your own training and so did he, plus you decided to hang out with your friends during lunch time and he didn't want to impose and ruin your time with them. He didn't want to suffocate you with his clinginess. You and Hanta barely talked, and before he knew it, it was the end of the week.
The tape quirk user slumped against the wall by his bed.
I'm so tired.
And he knew why he was exhausted. He was running low on you, he grabs his phone under his pillow and dialed your number, "Hey... are you busy?"
"..not really."
"Can I sneak into your room?"
"I'll be there in 5."
"Wait– I'm sorry, did I disturb you?" Hanta asked worriedly; maybe you were about to sleep and he interrupted you.
He hears you laugh softly. "I'll be there, Hanta."
Hanta waited by the door, and the second you knocked his door flung open and he pulled you inside, wrapping you in his arms. He took a long whiff of your hair, breathing in your shampoo. Kami, he missed you. You didn't notice how you closed the distance from the door to his bed. He holds you tight as he lets himself drop on the bed with a dull thud.
"I missed you." He kissed the crown of your head. "Barely seen you this week."
"... it's been a week?" You tilt your head up to look at him. "... sorry."
He sees the look on your face and his lips curled into a worried frown. "Did something happen? You seem kind of down ever since we moved in dorms."
You smiled. "No, I feel good! I didn't mean to worry you."
Hanta thought that something did bother you and because you were avoiding the topic, maybe it wasn't good to push you. He'll wait for you to open up so for now, if a distraction is what you needed, he'd deliver.
"Wanna try the hammock?"
"What's a hammock?"
"You've never tried a hammock?!" He sits up and flourished his hand to the hammock. "This! It's like a swing except you lie down! Also–" Reluctantly, his arms retreat and positioned you near the edge of the bed. "Stay there, lie down to your side while facing me."
You giggled at his enthusiasm. He then proceed to demonstrate on how to use the hammock, his one foot on the floor, giving a little push so he sways. "See?" He gives another push, enough for his face to come near yours. Smooch. His lips landed on your chin. The hammock pulls him away, then back at you again. Smooch. This time on your nose. It was like a little game now. Where will his lips land next? The corner of your mouth. Your cheek. Your lips. Nose again.
Little by little, you're feeling better already. The way he wiggles his eyebrows whenever he pulls away from you and then his expression shifting into a determined one when he goes in. It makes you laugh out loud. You take his arm and pull him towards you to the bed; he lets you.
"Isn't my hammock amazing?" He grins, wrapping you in his arms.
"It is." You agreed.
For awhile you and Hanta lay there, basking in each other's presence. You fiddle with the hem of his shirt.
"What are you thinking about?" Sero murmurs. Carefully, you lift his shirt a little, letting your fingers trace his skin. Smooth and the muscle underneath tense.
"Cariño?" he asks warily.
You bit your lips, hand shaking as you continue to lift his shirt.
Sero's fingers close around your hand. "What are you doing?" he asks gently.
"...guess what."
"I'm a pervert so it has to be that," he says, but he doesn't let go of your hand.
"And?"
"It's not a good idea, mi amore."
Rejection washes over you, hot and prickly. "Oh."
In one swift movement, the tape quirk user sits up, keeping your legs draped on his lap, taking your chin gently between his fingers. You can't meet his eyes. "Hey," he says. "Look at me."
Reluctantly, you lift your gaze. "Why not?"
"I feel like you're rushing things."
"I'm not–" You shook your head.
"Then why haven't you blushed once?"
"Maybe I'm just used to it." You shrug.
Sero laughs sadly. "That would mean you're over me already."
"No!" You firmly denied. "I like you. I still like you." You kiss him soundly and when you pulled away, his eyes softened.
"Then why? Did I act in any way that made it feel like I'm pressuring you?"
"When Aizawa-sensei and Yagi-sensei asked for permission for me to move in dorms... my grandma made a comment about me being too shy for an aspiring hero."
"And you thought that if you were forward then you'd be proving her wrong?"
"It's just– It made me think that you'll get sick of my shyness and I have to get rid of it before you hate me.."
"Oh, cariño." He draws you into a kiss that lasted for a long while, leaving your lips sore and swollen. "I've never minded your shyness."
"What if a while later, I'm not so shy anymore? Then you won't want me?"
He smiles. "That's not it. I'd want you still. Shy or not. You're forcing yourself. You're– I'm not ready." Sero lets go of your chin and holds your hand. "Look," He lifts your and his hand. "This alone makes my heart feel like bursting out of my chest." He kisses the back of your hand and placed it on his chest. "Being this close? Looking into your eyes? Kissing you and cuddling with you? It feels like I'd ascend to heaven any second now." You feel the strong erratic drumming of his heartbeat, he adds, "Don't get me wrong, I imagine things with you all the time. But I feel like if I let you, if I just went with the flow when we're obviously not ready, I'd be losing you. And I want it to be special. Is that pathetic of me?"
"No." You shook your head, his confession makes you feel heady.
"Then, do you wanna make out with me for hours on the hammock? And maybe tell me how your week went by because mine exhausted me 'cause I missed you all the time."
You giggled, blushing. "Sure."
Later, the hammock broke under yours and Sero's weight. He bought a sturdier one that can carry two weights.

AN:
Was this too childish? I felt like it is. But I'm tripping over this Sero. Swooning. Give me your thoughts: ARE YOU IN LOVE YET OR DO I GOTTA STALK YOU OUTSIDE YOUR DOORSTEP? 😤
