A light breeze flowed into the bedroom,blowing apart the drapes and bringing a large amount of light into the room.The sunlight shone brightly,it’s beams striking with a warm glaze,enough to wake you up from your slumber.You pulled yourself away from the cosy confines of your bed and headed to the window to inspect what today had in stall.
Birds whistled beautiful harmonies,and the light winds flew with hushed whispers.The land before you was verdant and green,truly scenery from a masterpiece of art.You had always told Loki there was no need to have given you a castle in the most scenic of places,but he never settled for anything less then best for his Queen.
“Lady Y/N!” A voice boomed as it enterred the room,and stood inside was Thor-your brother-in-law.You were always thankful the two reconciled after all that had happened between the two.”As you Midgardians would call it,Happy Birthday!” The tall blonde demi-god bellowed a heartly laugh,filling up the surroundings of the room.
“What are you doing up so early?” You asked,curious of the towering man’s actions.”I’m going to keep you busy for today” The blonde smirked as he grabbed you by the hand and lead you out of the bedroom and out of the castle.
The sun provided a light glimmer outside at the garden grounds.Roses lit up with a lovely glow,and other flowers blossomed in the blessed light.”Where is Loki?” It was unlike the trickster to miss an occassion like this.He would always make huge deals out of trivial customs,just to immerse himself in ‘your culture’.”He’s partaking in glorious battle...with inner demons” Thor grumbed the latter half of his sentence,completely incoherent to your ears.
Meanwhile...
Loki strutted back and forth,deep in thought.perplexed by the idea of a birthday present.”What would Y/N like?” He thought to himself many times,but he could never think of a right answer.
Thinking of a gift that wasn’t a trick was more difficult then he imagined,he’d usually just give Thor dresses,or something laced with poison...And he couldn’t posion his queen,nor could he pick a dress that would capture her beauty perfectly.
What was worse about the situation,Thor was going along with the plan too well-He was already at the garden grounds.Loki had to think fast before his brother brought a dissapointed queen to him...
“Lady Y/N,don’t go!” Thor chased after you,making sure you didn’t leave.”I’m sorry,but I don’t want to lounge around near the roses all day” You politely tried to exit yourself from the situation,having grown tired of your surroundings for today.
“Well...let’s go on to the main hall!” Thor hesitantly replied,his voice filled with uncertainty.”To do what exactly?” You were skeptical of his intentions.”Tea,a lady must have a tea break every now and then-all your history books say so!” The goofy giant grinned,so you decided to indulge in his offer.
You walked towards the large entrance of the main hall.The door towered above the two of you,and shined with it’s intricate gold detail.It was usually hard to open,but thankfully Thor was there to part it with ease.But the contents of the hall were...unexpected.
In the center of the hall laid a huge cake,adorned with layers upon layers of grand frosting.From the looks of it the flavour was strawberry and vanilla,which made you nearly drool.You eagerly ran over to the large treat.
“Surprise!” A gush of icing was sent flying from all directions,as Loki erupted from the cake half-naked.You turned around and found that Thor had dissappeared and immediately you knew the brothers had been plotting again.
“That’s unsanitary..” You jested,wiping a smidge of icing off the trickster’s chest.It was strawberry...“You haven’t seemed to mind before,my sweet” Loki teased back,a sly curl appearing accross his features.
What happened next would definitely be called unsanitary...
