Happy Nurses Week!!!!!
and Happy National Nurse's Day!!!!!
😘😘❤️❤️
I did it guys, I wrote 25 questions for the BMTCN!!!!
What a great feeling it is to contribute in a way towards my profession and specialty that is meaningful and last for years to come! It was an exciting journey, and one less stressor to deal with now haha.
I love being a nurse, I love working with cancer patients, and I love learning about the advances made in medicine every day. Especially in the fight against cancer :)
Now onto my jobs that pay me!
My work is gonna pay for me to attend the ASTCT conference in February!!! I’ve never attended a national conference, I am so excited! The only downside is that it is entirely virtual - so I don’t get to travel anywhere, but I get that whole week off and paid for!
The ASTCT is the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy - aka stem cell transplants and all sorts of therapies dedicated to cancer, bone marrow failures, auto immune diseases, etc. Car-T therapy!!!
Needless to say, I feel very blessed. I get to make questions for the BMTCN in January, teach students January through June, attend the ASTCT in February, and here is hoping COVID disappears and I get to attend comic con in September! 2021, I am tentatively hoping for a better year. 2020, you have been - you have been.
Not only do my jeans still fit (i think I last wore jeans maybe in June, if not like, March....), but I got selected to write questions for the BMTCN 😍😍 WHAT EVEN. Basically, I'm gonna write questions that could potentially make it onto the blood and marrow transplant nursing certification test. CRAZY 😝 It is usually an in person workshop but ya know COVID, so it's virtual, so less anxiety about travel and stuff. I am super excited!!
RN, MSN, OCN, BMTCN, CHPN
Officially am a hospice and palliative certified nurse! What a way to ring out 2019 and this insane decade! Became a nurse, got my masters, and now I am certified in three specialties!!! Oncology, blood and marrow, and hospice and palliative care.
