it is officially that time of year where I deep dive into the Watch Duty app for longer than I should multiple times a day because *wildfires*. For those who don’t know, Watch Duty is an app that allows communities to post, update, and have information on wildfire activity across the United States. You can get alerts for your county if you set them up (always a good idea!). I’m a little too invested in mainly Oregon and Washington, but also occasionally Colorado.

And woof. The fires that popped up over the past 48 hours because of storms was *insane* in Eastern Oregon and Washington (and then of course fires that started because *unknown* reasons yet. 😩).

One started near my old stopping grounds in Eastern Oregon and is over 7,000 acres and likely the reason why my extended family are experiencing such Smokey skies and weather (bad air quality 😥). I would estimate at least 20 significant fires across Oregon right now, if not more.

I hate this 😩

#Definitely have PTSD from my own evacuations from wildfire threats #And just the fact that any of my friends or family could be impacted is terrifying #Wildfire #It ain’t a season it is now just A VIBE #Always happening #Climate change is making wildfires worse #You all have heard of Canada’s terrible fires right now with air quality impacted across Eastern USA #Oregon and Washington are having the same happening but more locally!#About me
