The Best Car Maintenance Tips on Tumblr
Most people complain about certain vehicle types breaking down easily, or that certain car models don’t last as long as others. While there may be some truth behind it, In all actuality if you keep up with your car’s Maintenance, there is no reason why a car can’t last you long enough to get your money’s worth out of it!
Car maintenance can save you a lot of money in the long run. You can prevent any avoidable breakdowns, and reduce the chances of an unforeseen breakdown.
Everyone knows that a car fresh off the lot rides smooth and clean, filling you with enjoyment at every push of the pedal. You want to keep this up? It won’t last forever, that’s for sure, but you can definitely extend this feeling farther than just a few months after the purchase.
Here are a few things that you can do to extend the life of your vehicle!
Tire replacement falls first on our list! Timely replacement after long, or frequent trips are a must. Do NOT neglect this part of the maintenance process. It can impact your safety and the longevity of how efficient your vehicle is. Winter tires for the winter. Summer Tires for the summer. Got it?
I repeat, DO NOT neglect this part of the maintenance process.
Regular Visits to the car wash. This is more prevalent in the winter when the roads are coated with salt-like substances to improve grip. While this is a great improvement for safety, all that residue can reside on the surface of your paint, or even worse, on the bottom part of the vehicle where there is more cause for concern. Salt increases the chances of rust and corrosion, and I don’t think I need to explain why that is a bad thing.
We all know this next one,
Common timely maintenance. What do you expect will happen if you run on old oil for a long time? Just as your body needs to get regular check-ups to see if something is off, your vehicle does too! Consumables, such as oils, filters, gaskets - require care and timely replacement.
Clean the interior cabin & Shock absorbers REGULARLY! It’s not only an aesthetic improvement but also a technical one. What do you think will happen if dust builds up over time? It penetrates the interior, and also reduced the performance of your shocks.
Every self-respecting car owner should conduct these procedures himself or contact specialists to do them.
