Food for thought theory my not-on-tumblr friend suggested:

I’ve been assuming that the shading in Dabi’s hair this chapter was meant to suggest his hair is white underneath, and the hair dye remover has run through his hair haphazardly leaving the tips still dyed black.

But given this panel

And the eternal “is Touya’s hair red or white?” debate

And that both Shoto’s and Fuyumi’s hair have distinct mixtures of red and white

It’s possible that the current state of Touya’s natural hair is in fact white roots with red at the tips. And that the dark coloring in this chapter is meant to represent red, same as how Shoto and Enji are drawn.

Kinda hoping Horikoshi drops a color page next chapter so we can put this to bed once and for all, lol.

i havent even watched bnha in literal years and haven't actively thought about it at all in that time, but the crazy Vibes of november part 1 have got me cautiously invested again, and Very curious either way about what you're going to do with it

Writing this even feels like old-school BNHA. What with all the Dabi reveal stuff going on it’s like, “hey remember the beginning of season 2 when Shouto’s backstory was introduced? Yeah we’re going back to that because I Need Endeavor To Pay For His Sins”

It’s pretty much done! just need to do some stuff about the ending and a bit of editing. 

But yeah I couldn’t really sit still with this cuz the Dabi-is-Touya confirmation has been the biggest outstanding “Wow I’m Invested In This” piece of BNHA for me, for years. ...Then coupled with the fact that, personally, I think Endeavor’s “redemption” arc is the most ridiculously “wtf are you serious?” part of BNHA... I can’t NOT intervene here.

Like I dunno where canon’s gonna go with this, so I’m very much here for the fanon approach of “Let The World Finally Hold Endeavor Accountable For His Sins”
