yo hey. Earlier today i was reading a twitter thread about how test anxiety biased classes against peeps with test anxiety, and that folk should assign papers instead. as a student i was kind of weak against papers and assignments for all the adhd reasons, but i could focus enough to study for exams. Do ADHD students do better in test environments than they do on papers and assignments? or just me?

They can. Sometimes the pressure of the test situation boosts our focus. But a lot depends on whether or not you have test anxiety, and also it depends on what kind of test it is. For example, I don’t do very well with long answer tests but I do quite well on multiple choice tests. However, I do really well with papers. My personal opinion is that students should be able to choose to do an extra paper and opt out of the test.
