1. Simone
Simone is by far my favorite this week! She brought way more personality than anyone else with that flirtatious smirk, and she has so much connection with the camera even with just a single visible eye. I like how she placed her hand on Olivia’s shoulder, and she managed to give a lot of neck despite having her own shoulder pushed so far forward. Simone is stunning in this shot and I think that she was totally robbed of a first call-out!
2. Olivia
Olivia has a face made for beauty shots and she definitely lived up to my expectations here. She has such alluring eyes and I love how she angled her head to highlight her bone structure. My attention does go to her first, but I think she could’ve pushed herself more to add more impact to the picture. Nevertheless, it’s a strong performance from Olivia!
3. Victoria
This was the only fully good group of the week to me so it’s no surprise that they swept the top 3 spots of my call-out. Victoria’s new fiery red hair really makes her stick out in this shot! She engaged the camera so well with her eyes and she’s giving off a nice warm approachable energy. Her lips are too tightly pursed for my liking though; besides that I don’t have much to complain about.
4. Bianca
Bianca’s face is so gorgeous in this shot. She has a stellar natural smile and her skin is glowing. It’s a bummer that her body doesn’t match the strength of her face. She raised her shoulders too high (causing her neck to sink into her collarbones), and the hand on Eleanor’s leg is a bit awkward. Bianca was the strongest in this group for me, but I don’t think she did enough to earn the FCO at panel due to the aforementioned flaws.
5. Alannah
I love the breeze blowing through Alannah’s hair, and the emotion in her eyes is genuine. While she has a great smile, it might be over exaggerated a little here and I’m not sure if her face is well suited for such a commercial brief. Still, she’s in control of the shot and connected everyone in the group (besides maybe Eleanor). It’s a fairly decent shot from Alannah.
6. Talulah-Eve
Talulah-Eve really has a winning smile, it’s very genuine (if a little cheesy) and also reaches her eyes. However, I don’t see a model here. The shorter makeover definitely ages her, and she sort of gives the vibe of someone smiling during the list of potential side effects in one of those drug commercials you see on TV.
7. Abby
Abby’s photo isn’t good by any means but I felt that she was the best in her abysmal group. I like the slight curiosity in her eyes and how she connected with Jennifer. However, her new makeover is framing her face in a weird way and her jaw looks too heavy. I’m glad though that her bizarre looking hand is partially cropped out since that was like something out of a Cronenberg movie. Abby’s elimination was strange to me since she had a lot of potential and she was far from the worst in this shoot. She should’ve stayed.
8. Jennifer
Jennifer was obviously dragged down by her teammates since she did very well on set. Sadly, this is a subpar showing. There’s a nice warmth in her eyes, but she still appears sleepy and that overly tensed mouth just drags down her overall expression. Jennifer had some poor luck this week.
