I am still in vic due to Circumstances (although I'd like to be home for my birthday this month and before the goddang federal election) so i gotta keep up my momentum with more silly comics while everything else is shit

I try not to be annoying about springtime but it sure is a source of many serotonins... still! i've got new winter boots I'd like to test back home.

It is officially mysterious Christmas film time on the island! I haven't caught any crews firsthand since I've been pretty busy, but I've heard that so far there seems to be a 1940s era Christmas movie filming downtown, and that another project has changed all the signs at a local campus to "Cal Arts" for some reason...

another formulaic vent comic i drafted a couple weeks ago and forgot about because life happens. i am sorry if i haven't been on top of things or responding to messages (i do read and appreciate them!) but I've been taking time off to help and support friends. here is classic snarky ed and classic stampede brain cal for your soul.

those in my circles will tell you i have become weirdly obsessed with mayor farkas and how he said 'bullshit' four times in one reel without fear of the algorithm and then later clarified "no BS, just CS." I may be suspicious of his voting record (and his continued need to throw Edmonton property taxes around like some evil plot) but the enemy of my enemy and all that... anyway he won this one.

On a more serious note, the province has decided to go to war with disabled Albertans. Please read Cam Tait's column on how Smith is not just minimizing but straight up ignoring the very real threats to people's lives her government is making by stealing from those who are struggling the most and giving it to whoever has the patience to figure out the government's bullshit application for a pitiful rebate.

it's times like this i feel im doing stupid self-satisfied little drawings that are for no one and nothing but my own feelings but i know that voice in my head that's telling me to sit on the feelings and do nothing about them is not the one i should be listening to, so i draw the stupid self-satisfied little things and hope it brings someone out there a resigned sigh of relief that someone is noticing this stuff even if there isn't anything new to add.

I've been taking public transit more as the weather gets colder and then warmer again and I am frequently reminded of all the little stupid comics I've had in my head for eons

...so many eons that even though I took the train several times in the past week, my brain automatically drew the old fuzzy seats. but that's ok, this idea is old enough to make sense in an earlier time period haha.

I haven't taken the CTrain in over a decade so maybe the seat arrangements have changed, but one major difference between our trains is that seats on the Edmonton LRT face each other rather than one direction. I've taken several train systems across the country including the Vancouver skytrain, the TTC subway and the Montreal metro and one of the weird things I never expected to make me homesick was explaining the Edmonton intimacy of trying not to brush knees with people on the LRT, lol.

While I understand why people might be hesitant about brushing knees with a stranger or sitting backwards, it still bothers me when people leave the window seat open (or worse, put their bag there).

So here is Ed shaming people in ways I wish I could :D
