another horrible comic i subjected @randomoranges to
[ part 1 ] [ part 2 ] [ part 3 ]
Happy Pride from Battle of Alberta
I probably don't need to explain why doing these doodles is relevant if you have paid even an ounce of attention to the world but I can at least provide some local relevance.
And something to do about it, of course :)
Palettes are all from branding guides, either the official city/province guide, the tourism/local business association guide, or in GP's case colour picked from the strategic plan while we wait for the city to get one together lol. Let me know if there's a particular colour palette that you like best~ some of these colours actually do have cutesy names!
Another bear comic after this one
I wanted to draw this ages ago (but I needed playoff beard Ed to make it funnier)
Happy Pride to Jasper and happy spring to The Boss!
A refreshing time for bears everywhere :)
Dedicated to those two dweebs who were So Annoying that the day afterwards we ran into two hikers who ran into us on a hike on the far side of town, recognized us as the painters at the falls, and immediately asked if we saw those idiots ruining it for everyone (we did)
I don't wish death on people who do this but I do wish a little bit of Strike Some Fear Into Their Hearts so. Here is Jas doing that for me :)
Jasper is more than a bear... or a place... it's a feeling
I was in town last week to see what's changed and while the loss is stark and obvious, I am pleased to see all the new growth, the bustling streets, and the beautiful commemorative art around every corner.
Fireweed has always had a special place in my heart as the territorial flower of the place I was born (and now has a place in my yard since I was able to cultivate some seeds!) - now it has another special meaning to me as a symbol of resilience and restoration after the catastrophic events of last summer. I figured I'd experiment by testing out a tattoo on Jas.
Anyway, whatever time of year, consider stopping in or visiting Jasper if you're able. Be respectful to the place and the people, support some local businesses (the elk meatloaf at Jasper Brewing Co. continues to be divine and the cinnamon buns at Bear's Paw Bakery are to die for) and explore some breathtaking sights. This year I was finally able to hit Maligne Lake, Pyramid Lake, Athabasca Falls and Miette Hot Springs on one trip, and it was incredible!
If you were able to come to the two streams it took me to do this, thanks for dropping in! (Sorry I forgot to turn on the music volume the second time :x)
Greetings from Miette B)
If this posts in the correct order or at all on this wifi it will be a miracle.
