Sunset Moments

This was taken back in 2019 with the exposure biased 2-2/3 stops darker. The amount of underexposure wasn’t enough to stop the sun from clipping but I didn’t want to go down any further as it was doubtful that the 1-inch sensor could give any meaningful details when the shadows were lifted in post.

The sky here was separately darkened further in post but unfortunately it couldn’t save the highlights.

This 2004 compact won’t be my camera of choice for sports/action photography but tracking a subject like this moving across the frame won’t be too difficult. The only downside here was I had only one chance to grab a shot. The soonest that I could get a second shot would be at least five seconds later because that was how long it would take the camera to save each image to the card while I would be locked out.
