Boat School
Finn started kindergarten in Berwick this year. After two months we pulled him out to start this trip. His teacher was very helpful and gave us his materials and we check up on his class via the class website. Finn works for about 3 hours most days on reading, math, phonics, maps, picture journal, and handwriting. The other day while he worked on something he said “I like boat school because I get to be home with my family”. Sweet boy. But I know he misses Mrs. Gilbert’s class too.
A new school
It’s not a question of how to design a boat It’s a question of why A boat’s design affects everything it does. Boats are potent symbols. Their form, the entire aesthetic out of which they grow, affects our perception of them. As we interact with our boats their forms change our lives. (more…)

Boat building school activity - Wooden boat construction
Choosing the right boating school can often mean the difference between finding a new passion in life and having an awful experience. One of my favorite stories an old boat dealer buddy of mine used to tell was when a client of his bought a big new power boat. In his excitement and desire to use it he grabbed his wife and headed out into the ocean for a short ride, the words “three hour tour” come to mind here.
