That is by far my favorite version of the ballad of Tam Lin. I remember when I first found it. While I was discovering my earliest folk and Scottish songs and discovering Robert Burns poems.

I love the background sounds effects in this song, the arrangement and so on. Nobody can imagine how many times I repeated it over and over, and how much it delighted me.  From then I started to collect as many versions I could of the ballad, and also the “Glasgow Reel”(another name for the melody of the ballad). And gather for Scottish and English ballads and folk music.

And Bob is married to Pylon front woman extraordinaire, Vanessa Briscoe Hay, who now fronts another awesome band, Supercluster. So there's the brief version of that.
