I decided to share some of my Percy jackson x OC headcanons, beside it includes a lot of ideas i have and can't be bothered to sort out for Bloodbender and Poisonbender PJ:
They're very Anti -annabeth, so I've treated that just in case. It's very anti her bc she is very anti-Prrcy's powers, as in canon, Mrs "some things aren't meant to be controlled" (then why can he control them?)
Percy Jackson HC’s
Percy Jackson AU son of Poseidon x avatar-style elementalist (of fire, water, earth and air)
Percy Jackson x fem!Reader (powers are closer to Apollo and Hephaestus’ elemental ones [this is an old white. She has additional powers, that fall outside of Hephaestus and Apollo related powers, but for ease of ref, let's stick with this])
Ages:
Karamat/Kara: 23 bc I am 23
Perseus/Percy: 27 bc I said so
After Akhlys’ thing, he didn't use his poison powers for a long while, at least around Annabeth. He was scared that she would be scared of him. At the same time, he recognised that since he was able to control her poison, he could control poison in general.
He didn't want to cap his potential, bc of some stupid fear. But it was his gf’s fear, which had him hesitate a lot before using his abilities in front of her ever again. He knew he had to be discreet.
He was afraid that by having voluntarily fallen into the pit, to fight his inner demons/monsters (the fear of losing Annabeth), he had become his worst one (demon/monster) yet.
Annabeth was terrified of him and was very jumpy after that, thinking that he got some sick pleasure out of torturing Akhlys, never mind that she was going to hurt Annabeth and Percy and he wanted to keep her safe, willing to go far as fuck to do it. She stopped hugging and kissing him, etc, only doing the whole physical contact thing if required (eg: like jumping down the Chaos pit)
She flinched violently the first time he touched her after the torture of Akhlys and broke his heart right into two.
“I'm not going to hurt you, Wise Girl,” he whispered softly. If there was any light in the place, she'd be able to see the tears watering in his eyes. She was scared of him. She was scared of him. He didn't know how to live with that. This was his best friend, his better half, and she was terrified of him.
She didn't respond. “Percy. You can't do that ever again, please, that was… that wasn't you.”
His broken heart broke a little more upon hearing that, cause he knew dam well that wasn't true and he didn't have the heart to correct her. They'd have a conversation about this afterwards, after they left Tartarus. He intended to, but he didn't know that she never did. Her intention was to completely avoid him, which she did.
After an inner turmoil, he decided to teach himself this ability, so that when he gets pushed to the limits again, he can control the urge to use this, to keep Annabeth from fearing him. She never knew about this.
His biggest fear went from losing Annabeth to Annabeth fearing him. It came true.
Annabeth and him reached the Doors of Death, not as touchy feely as they were before the torture scene. Percy felt that and felt so guilty, even though he felt that there was no other choice, cause Akhlys would've killed them both, best case scenario, worst case, hand them off to Gaia.
When it came to all the hordes that they had to face, by The Doors, he fully intended to have her at the very least escape, even if he ended up staying behind. He thought that she would do the same for him, but the first chance she got to get to The Doors, whilst all the monsters were mainly focused on him, Tartarus himself included, bc Son of Poseidon, she left him.
The Betrayal as she glanced back at him, when hobbling down to The Doors, whispering “I'm sorry,” watching him get surrounded by the hordes of monsters. She glanced back at The Doors and then back at him, and he understood.
She was about 5 steps away from The Doors, and he was over 20, with monsters coming at him more than her from all directions, all chanting "seafood!” like greedy little bastards.
She was apologizing bc she wouldn't be able to make it out, if she waited for him. She meant to leave him.
She then called out to him, a few steps away from The Doors “I'm sorry, but you belong here now.”
“No…”
She fully intended on leaving him here, making her way to the only escape. She turned away, hobbling down (she had been injured in her ankle).
that action solidified it and something inside of him shattered completely as he let out a guttural scream (making her whip around in terror) connecting internally to every single water source within the vicinity, The rivers, the lakes, the condensation in the toxic fumes, the veins and muscles of all the monsters, the vapour, hearts, blood vessels, the ichor of Tartarus himself. And he lost complete control, not caring as Annabeth watched in horror, letting out a terrified shriek herself, tripping over, as the ground started shaking, Cracks and fissures showing up everywhere around them, as if he was controlling the tectonic plates himself.
The monsters all either burst into golden dust, dropped dead, exploded with their internal organs and blood going everywhere or were swallowed up by the ground itself. All except Damasen, Bob and Annabeth were gone in an instant.
And Tartarus. Who was shaken but still alive. Percy turned to face him alone, ignoring the other three. He connected with Tartarus’ heart and veins, the rivers (some of them, sure, of fire, but rivers at the end of the day) and made it pump faster and faster and faster. Until he exploded himself, Tartarus, trying to swat him, but Percy, with a nosebleed and coughing up blood, tightened his grip on Tartarus’ body, controlling every muscle.
Soon enough, Tartarus exploded, his skin and golden Ichor going everywhere.
In his anger and hurt, Percy lost himself. After Annabeth stated her intention to leave him, bc of her fear, literally willing to leave her boyfriend in the worst of hell, he no longer cared.
He stalked away from the mess of bodies and golden dust, which sprinkled his hair, making it look golden and sunswept, in the Big Black Pit.
If it was up to her, she'd have left him. With the intention to let him rot with the monsters in Tartarus itself. Because ‘he was one of them, now’.
He didn't bother helping her up, as he walked past her, didn't even bother gracing her with a glance, he simply headed over to The Doors and waited for all of them.
Damasen, at that point, looked at The Doors and said he'd never thought he'd make it out of The Pit.
Damasen, Percy, and Annabeth all went in and made it to the top. Damasen and Bob had to decide between the two of them who had to stay in The Pit.
“Tell the stars Bob says hello.”
Percy and Bob parted with heartfelt words. “I'll be back for you, I promise”.
Bob simply nodded. “Make me proud, friend.”
Damasen and Percy kept the doors shut from the inside while Annabeth cowered in a corner, terrified, in the opposite corner to Percy, having a panic attack/meltdown.
Percy no longer cared.
She was willing to leave him in Tartarus.
“You belong here now.”
(He channelled that anger into the door that kept on trying to open up.
As soon as they dinged open at the top, Hazel, Nico, caught them.
Rest of the book continued as it was, with him using his earth shaking, blood and poison control abilities (I never actually finished the series so idek the details. \_(°○°)_/

Nightmare/Dreams Sequence he had often after this:
As soon as she (Annabeth) saw Percy there, covered in fire river residue and dust, she fell with a shriek of terror, eyes wide, like he was going to kill her. He looked like Sandy from Rise of the Guardians, with how much sand was on his… everything really, except his eyes, they looked like something had cracked in them. (Cracked marble effect).
His eyes turn the colour of the nearest body of (natural, usually) water, so they were orange Like the fire river.
[After this incident, his eyes turn the colour of the nearest liquid that he's controlling, so in many cases, the green of poison, or red of blood, making him look dangerous and psychotic to most people.]
Bob, Damasen and Tartarus’ words were ringing through his head as he and Anna and Damasen took a door each, trying to keep them closed all the way up.
Bob: Tell the stars Bob says hello
Damasen: “Why didn't she wait?”
Bob: “isn't she supposed to love you? Is this what love is?”
Tartarus had laughed maniacally “She's right, son of Poseidon. You belong here now.”

They did what they had to do to end the war. Percy decided that since she had made the choice to leave him, they were no longer together,
His break-up with Annabeth, at 17 was bad. After Tartarus, she couldn't handle being with him or even near him, because of when she saw him manipulating poison and blood and Misery. She was genuinely scared of him and exactly what he's capable of after that, seeing exactly how Unhinged her boyfriend could become; it terrified her to no end and she just wasn't able to stand being around him, so they broke up and moved back with her father, permanently, visiting Camp every now and then, to keep her Scent away from monsters. Even though she made him promise that he wouldn't use the powers he had discovered down there, she was still paranoid that he would, bc she saw how he relished in Misery's misery (Anna's perspective).
It broke him. It completely broke him, because she was the only one who knew him, truly knew him.
And she left him.
For a long time he felt that he was truly the monster that she thought or seemed to think that he was and hated Poseidon for giving him these blood and poison manipulation powers, but it took him a while to realize that it was NOT Poseidon's Fault At All. Poseidon's blood gave him these abilities, the ability to save himself when he's in danger. Because where these abilities cost (him) Annabeth, they also saved his life multiple times, time and time again, even before Annabeth.
He ended up channeling the hurt and anger towards Annabeth, where he felt it was deserved. He also began to ponder over their relationship years and realize exactly how toxic and abusive she had been and started thanking the stars for this betrayal and taking her away from him, permanently.
He had a support circle with him, consisting of Grover, Tyson, Nico, Hazel, Frank, Will, Rachel, Piper, Leo, Jason (bc he is the fuck alive here) and Reyna who helped him through this betrayal, so he was able to get back up on his feet, but there were a couple of other friendships that went sour bc they kept making excuses for Annabeth's toxic and controlling nature, so he left those ones too, bc this dude had NO more patience for abuse apologism.
Like, at the fuck all.
Thalia was broken already after Luke's betrayal, then death, Jason's perceived death (before he was saved in the nick of time), the quests and then Annabeth leaving Percy forever, leaving her forever - that last one she couldn't handle, because Annie was the last of her “family, Luke, you promised.”. She thought that Percy had said or done something to drive Annabeth away, so Percy and Thalia's relationship became really rocky over this, as Thalia started making excuses for Annabeth, and her (pretty abusive) behaviours in the past (constantly insulting and belittling Percy, making fun of him, beyond joking, judo-flipping him, punching him in TTC [it's unclear how much of that was a joke from what I remember]).
In the end, when it came down to it, Thalia rationalised that if she used a dangerous newfound ability of hers, Annabeth might've tried the same thing with her, so Thalia became the number one supporter of Percy.
Nico thought that if Annabeth wanted to be in a relationship with such a powerful demigod, she should've already come to terms with the kinds of technically immoral abilities he could have and she should’ve known him well enough to know he wouldn't be using those abilities on any innocent person, or for the sick fuck of it. Or even on her, if that's what she feared. And if she wasn't able to handle it, then it's better late than never to break up. He was a real homie for Percy, as were Leo, Jason and Hazel, who knew how destructive their own abilities could be and felt v empathetic towards him.
Piper and Frank felt a similar way to Nico, that if Annabeth wasn't able to handle it, it's best for them to part ways. Because there's no way she'd be able to survive the rest of her life, living with someone she's afraid of and it wasn't fair on Percy to live his life with someone who's afraid of him. Or for her either. And it also wasn't fair for him to hide that part of him just for her comfort and convenience. It's an ability that he can use to help people or keep his loved ones, and innocent people safe. So it's HIS responsibility to ensure he masters his own abilities.
No-one gets to tell him to hide that part of his identity, absolutely no-one.
Least of all her.
Their break-up was quite simple, yet broke each of them in ways they could've never imagined. He became colder, more distanced with their friends, expecting many of them to turn on him too at any time. After all, out of The Seven, the friend he'd known the longest did. Because of something he did to keep them both safe. They were 17 when this happened. Shortly after his 17th birthday.
He learnt eventually who to trust and who not to. There were sides taken between his break-up with Annabeth. Thalia was at first a total Annabeth apologist whilst recognising that Annie did hurt Percy, bc she believed Annabeth was only scared and acting out of fear wrong and she also didn't want to lose the last of her family (she thought Luke was all wrong and Annabeth was simply scared and traumatized in this way).
Eventually, Thalia saw reason and was with Percy, as she knew how destructive her abilities could be and understood Percy well enough to know that he wouldn't use them on anyone who didn't deserve it. She tried really hard to fix up her relationship with Percy who reciprocated and kept her at a distance at first.
Over the years, they reverted back to their sibling bond.
In a kind of rebellion to what her reasons to break up were, Percy decided to help out more in the Infirmary, using his newly found Liquiduskinesis/Ygrókinesis (liquid manipulation abilities). He studied about the manipulations of viscosity, oil, ink, poison, drinks, blood, and bubbles specializing in hematology and toxicology as they were the main ones (out of the lot of them and the ones Annabeth was the most scared of) and offered his help for free, for those people who had blood-related medical health issues or were dealing with any kind of blood loss. He learnt everything there was to know about hematology/hemokinesis & toxicology/toxikinesis, in an effort to prove a point to himself, that being able to control this part of his abilities does not make him the monster Annabeth thinks he is.
His mother and stepfather don't think that this is a monstrous ability, nor does his little sister. He had to use this ability once, when they ordered takeout and Sally drank some juice which ended up being poisoned/had something that was making her feel sick. Within minutes of her having drunk that, he used his abilities to help her throw that up into the sink, after which she was feeling much better. He was incredibly insecure for a very long time about the morality of him using these abilities, but ultimately, Sally and Paul reminded him that these abilities were his, regardless of whether or not he wanted them and that it was his responsibility to learn how to use and apply them.
There was no way for him to know that if he chooses to ignore or hide that part of him, there may one day be a time when a loved one of his is in danger (like Sally was) and the only thing that can save their life is this ability of his. If he chooses to hide and avoid, he could be digging a bigger hole for himself, and also putting himself on a position where he is not able to do everything in his power to save someone, to help someone.
I took out my oc, as cba to proofread, so that will be added in the next blog
He becomes the unofficial leader of Camp. Lieutenant to Chiron, after his role to play in The Big Guesstimate #1&2
Annabeth broke up w him after the Gaea War, bc she was scared of his bloodbending powers and even though she forced him to promise that he wouldn't use that ability ever again, they were faced with another situation in Tartarus where they were being tortured and he used it to save them. Annabeth freaked out and kept repeating that some things weren't meant to be controlled.
He got angry and responded back with how sometimes, you gotta break the rules to save lives.
She wouldn't understand. They reached the Doors of Death and she left him in Tartarus.
He used his tact and usage of Bob to find another way out of Tartarus. And came back entirely bitter to her.
She was shocked to see him outside. She had told the others that he was lost in Tartarus (metaphorically, bc she Percy she thought she knew was lost)..
Thalia was her biggest apologist in the break-up but even she knew leaving Percy in Tartarus was out of order. Annabeth ditching Percy there was the last straw and defining detail for Thalia to not support Annabeth, despite Annabeth being the final part of her “family, Luke. You promised.”
Percy decided to pursue a career in liquid manipulation. Studying to become a haematologist and toxicologist, both of which took 5 yrs of dedication to complete, with help from some new adult campers of the Athena and Apollo Cabin(Athena being the goddess of Strategy and Apollo being the God of knowledge and medicine)
Athena campers in question: Alexander-James Christopher Martinus, Alessandria-Juliette Christina Martinus, Althea,
Apollo campers in question: Dr Drake Justus, Dr Tristan Reed, Dr Phoebe Reed, Ariette Medley Vespers, William Solace,
He was 25-26 when he graduated with both.
He's able to sense heartbeats, blood flows, contracting and relaxing of muscles and sees people as water bodies (embarrassingly enough for him, ue once referred to a patient in the Infirmary as a water body. The Apollokids won't let him live that down. Much to his glee, one of them referred to a patient as an ‘organism in Bed 5’. He won't let THEM live that down either)
Since he can sense heartbeats and the water and blood and liquids in bodies, he can tell when someone in lying
HOT TAKE: a few someone shows up. He thinks they're lying about everything, but turns out their just have anxiety (high-functioning anxiety, for my OC/me).
“You're heartbeat is really irregular, Kara, are you sure you're not lying?”
“Nah, I'm just having an anxiety attack,”. Calmly sips water.
“You WHAT!?”
If someone has muscle aches or smth and needs to massage the muscle but using hands on their skin hurts, Percy can use his abilities to contract and relax the muscles.
(Back) massages without any physical touch lol
If someone is panicking, he can immediately tell. He can also do his best to calm them right down.
Imagine having anxiety or panic attacks and he's there to help you through it.
