FOR THAT FLUFFY SHIP MEME THING::::: CAN I GET SOME BABE/JULIAN???

you bet you can! i’m sorry if i’m not super up to scratch on julian because while i think he’s absolute 100% bae in the show, i haven’t exactly studied him. but from WHAT I KNOW…

The umbrella, when it rains - Babe, because Julian has some Focus Issues and when something catches his attention, he can get so interested and distracted that he pays no attention to keeping the umbrella in place. Babe mutters about how “one of us might as well stay dry” and takes over holding it, but he can’t stay grumpy when he sees how cutely sheepish Julian is about having done it again.

The popcorn at the cinema - tbh, neither of them are qualified. They’re both prone to big reactions when unexpected things happen in the movie, so big that the popcorn can end up across the theatre (either by accident because they jumped or deliberately because they tossed it in frustration.) They’re much safer watching movies at home.

The baby, when it cries - Julian, because Babe gets frustrated more quickly and easily. When he’s already reached the level of “NOTHING IS GOING TO WORK,” Julian’s still got some tricks up his sleeve, and he makes the best goofy faces to get the baby giggling and cheered up if it’s just a crankiness issue.

The ice cream cone, when they share - Same issue as the umbrella, Babe has to because Julian will let it tip so far to one side that the scoop will fall clean out of the cone if something grabs his attention. Babe also hogs the ice cream when he holds it, tho, so they usually get one each.

The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie - Julian, because sometimes Babe just NEEDS TO TALK ABOUT WHAT JUST HAPPENED RIGHT NOW (whether it’s ranting or gushing) and he’ll do it without pausing the show. And like, Julian doesn’t want to miss that or go through the pain of trying to get back to exactly the right moment, so he rules the pause button.

The basket, when they go shopping - Babe. See again: Julian’s tendency to get distracted, Babe could be checking out the firmness of some avocados or something and look up to find Julian in the dairy aisle across the store with their damn cart.

The door, on dates - Babe. He prides himself on being a gentleman, and refuses to change that based on the gender identity of whoever he’s dating - personal comfort is another thing, like if they just don’t enjoy it, but society won’t tell him how he should treat his sweetie.

The other’s hand, most often - Babe in emotional moments, Julian just ‘cause.

Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day - Babe, omg, absolutely Babe, he’s like joking around and punching his groomsmen in the arm like “guess this is it I’m taking the plunge goodbye freedom making an honest man out of Jul - oh my god -” And just ends up speechless and breathless and probably with tears in his eyes.

The camera, when they take pictures together - I have no reason for this choice but I say Babe for this one too. Just a feeling I get.
