IDK dude, I really like this - particularly the line quality and the intensity of his expression. Ink drags itself into the paper in a way that watercolor doesn’t, but there’s potential in that aspect of it if you learn to anticipate it.
Thanks~. I'm glad the intensity is there, though it's not as intense as I'd like :P. My favorite aspect when drawing BoB is his wild, hateful intensity -- like a beaten dog -- so I'm forever trying to capture that and forever falling short ^^.
As for brush and ink, I'm continuing to experiment with it (as you'll see in future Inktober drawings!), and the more I get a sense of it, the more I think I could fall in love with the medium.
It's exceptionally unforgiving and demands a lot of precision and confidence with every stroke, but it also has so much life and spontaneity in even the smallest gestures. And, as an artist, you must understand and embrace that every drawing will wear its mistakes like scars -- bared for the entire world to see. A philosophy I can get behind :P.
