My Take On The Smiling Critters Cartoon

Ok.... Because I absolutely hate the lore about The Smiling Critters show that was given to us in the book (Minus the character descriptions for most of the characters), I feel the need to share my canon for the show because that's what I'm sticking with.

So for my AU, The Smiling Critters was a show similar to shows like The Care Bears, and some of the old Hanna Barbera cartoons, it was a fun lighthearted series that was written in a way similar to The Care Bears Movie, meaning the show could be dark (Like most cartoons of that era sometimes were), but it was generally lighthearted, and was written in a way people of all ages could enjoy, because in my opinion, if you're gonna make a cartoon to sell toys, ya gotta make sure the parents like it too.

The show ran for six seasons, and it became quite popular, gaining lots of fans and a ton of merchandise, and even became more popular than some of Playtime Co's most beloved toys.

There were plans to make more episodes after season six, and there was even talk of a potential movie in the future, but one day it all just... stopped, it wasn't cancelled or anything like that, they just stopped being made, it was almost like the team just vanished...

(Of course we all know what actually happened.)

Bobby has a big strong and scary father, little does everyone know that he is a florist lol. And his mother, who is passionate about candy, is very popular for selling sweets in much of her neighborhood. Both are more active on Valentine's Day selling flowers and candy to lovers.💝

Bubba has doctor parents, whenever someone gets hurt or sick, Bubba is the one who helps. His father is a general practitioner while his mother is a physiotherapist. They both have a little difficulty being emotionally connected to bubba.🫂
