“I think you need to get in my bed. Now.”
Skye raised her eyebrows as her partner whispered in her ear, pressing against her back. She knew that he had a hard day today, and she had expected this to some extent. After all if there was one thing she and Grant knew how to do, it was how to work out their frustrations with sex, also one of their favorite things to do as a matter of fact. She just hadn’t expected it so soon. Skye hadn’t even had time to finish her drink yet. “Woah, slow down there T-1000, you gotta give a girl some foreplay first.” She teased, she knew Grant was well versed in the art of foreplay from personal experience. “Buy her a drink, you know? And since you didn’t buy me one -” Okay, that was a lie, he actually had, she had nicked his credit card when he wasn’t looking. “It’s polite to at least let a girl finish hers.” She said, taking another sip of her scotch before turning around to face him, a smirk on her lips. “Besides, we’ve got all night. In an actual bed. That we should hopefully have enough room to where I don’t kick you out of it.” Skye told him, reaching out and brushing her hand up and down his forearm. “But it is cute how Coulson got us separate rooms isn’t it? I think he’s in denial.” She whispered before downing the rest of her scotch and putting her glass on the table, spinning around to get off the stool gracefully once she had. “Okay, we can go now.” Skye announced happily.
“I’m pregnant.”
Augustus’s eyes widened to an almost comic level at Sawyer’swords. She was … but they were always so careful. Augustus had made sure ofthat. They had never had sex without a condom before except … that onenight. Oh god, she was pregnant. He had to look on the bright side though. Atleast she was out of high school, and he wasn’t teaching anymore. That wouldhave been a total disaster. Of course they hadn’t been expecting this to happenso soon, but the more Augustus thought about it, he realized that maybe thiswasn’t such a bad thing. After all they were in a new town, away from anyonewho might have recognized them, his latest book was doing really well, and theyhad plenty of money. Sawyer was in college classes, but that didn’t matterbecause Augustus could easily take care of the baby during the day. Not tomention, he couldn’t help but think while he looked at Sawyer, she would lookabsolutely gorgeous with a baby belly. “So you’re … wow …” That was theonly word that he could think of to describe what she had just told him, and hewalked over to her, brushing some hair behind her ears as he looked at her. “Howdo you feel about this?” He asked her, curious as to what she was thinkingabout all of this because the more he thought about it, the more he realized hewas actually pretty happy with this news.
“Please don’t do this.”
Grant looked over at Skye from their position on the floor. Therewas a hail of bullets flying all around them, and they were currently hidingbehind a desk, waiting for the Hydra agents to at least waste some of theirbullets before they began moving. Grant knew there was only one way out ofthis. It was what he had come here to do. He was going to put an end to this.He was going to put an end to Garrett, and if that mean dying, then he wasperfectly okay with that. It didn’t matter anymore. Currently, Skye was safe, currently she was alive. He would die himself before he let that change. Shewas all that mattered to him anymore. He couldn’t let Garrett get his hands onher again. In his eyes, she was the only good thing in this world, and if hehad to lie down his life to keep that good thing in this world, he would do itwithout hesitation. The look on her face though gave him pause. She cared abouthim. He was sure about that much. He didn’t know why, didn’t understand it, butthe thought of him actually getting hurt really upset her. He reached over, placinghis hand on her cheek and brushing his thumb against her skin. “Skye, I haveto. Don’t you see that? I have to keep you safe. I have to finish this, and theonly way to do that is to take Garrett down.” Grant told her. “Skye, I know I’mnot … I don’t know how to talk about stuff like feelings. I spent too longbeing taught they weren’t something I wanted to be able to talk about to talk about them likea normal person, but I have to tell you -” Grant took a momentary pause, shooting down a Hydra agent that was coming a little too close. “You’re theonly good thing in my life. You’re the only person I trust. The only person Ireally care about. Which is why I have to do this. I can’t let anyone lose you. You’re such a strong, amazing woman, and you have to keep being that. You haveto keep being you because God, Skye, this world needs you.” He told her, andwithout another word, he leaned forward and kissed her like it was the lasttime he could ever do so, which he knew it might be. “I love you.” The words slippedout, and his eyes widened, surprised by his own confession, and before shecould say a word, he had dived away, guns blazing.
“We are not getting a pet.”
A pout formed on Ava’s lips as she looked up at Lucas. Mostpeople didn’t know this, but Ava had such a thing for dogs. She would alwaysspend time with them back when she had been in the military with them. Sheliked how loyal they were and not to mention how playful. They had alwayshelped keep her at ease whenever she was around them, and it seemed that theirlittle girl had also inherited that ability. She had practically assaulted herfather with kicking trying to get him to let her go inside the pet store, whichAva watched with an amused smile she’ll admit, and once she finally did, almostimmediately their daughter had headed over to the puppies, were she was nowsurrounded by the fluffy animals, licking her face and nuzzling her, eachfighting for her attention. It was one of the cutest things that Ava had everseen, and she wouldn’t deny that she had taken way more pictures of it with herphone than she probably should have. “Oh, come on, Lucas look how happy she is.”Ava said, and their daughter did look pretty happy, a huge smile on her face aswell as bubbles of laughter coming from her lips. Ava had never seen an infantthat happy around so many dogs before. “You can’t deny it’s cute, and a dogcould actually be a good idea, you know? It could look after her and keep thehouse safe …” She looked back at their daughter who was hugging a puppy, still laughing. “How can you say no to that face?” Ava asked him, gesturing tohow cute the scene before them was.
“Why aren’t you answering my calls?”
Rayne looked over when she heard her husband’s voice and ahuge wave of relief swept over her. The store was insanely busy today for noapparent reason, and there were customers absolutely everything and Rayne wasswamped behind the counter. She currently had one baby boy taking his nap inthe back room with the door open so that she could keep an eye out for when hewoke up, and another hanging on her hip, happily sucking on the arm of her Thorplushy. Rayne definitely looked like a mess, and she knew that her husbandcould tell that as he looked at her. “Well, that’s because earlier when I waschanging your precious baby girl, she thought it would be funny to kick mommy’sphone into the sink where she had some dishes.” Rayne let out a sigh as sherang up another customer one handed and started the next one, smiling at Jamesas he came and took their daughter from her grasp so she could use both hands. “Ourson is taking a nap in the back, but you should probably go wake him up sinceit’s about lunch time anyway.” She told him, smiling as she watched James kissall over their daughter’s face. He really was way too precious with their kids, and Rayne always found herself falling a little more in love with him everytime she saw him with them, just like now. “Lunch is in the fridge upstairs bythe way if you want to go ahead and get it out. I’ll be up there soon!” Raynecalled as he went to go get their son. Rayne finished ringing up the customerin front of her, and turned just in time to enjoy the view as her husbandwalked upstairs to get lunch ready for their little family.

[text] You worry me so much sometimes.
[text] You know there is absolutely nothing wrong with sitting through a whole day of Avengers movies at the movie theater.
[text] You’re just jealous I didn’t invite you.
[text] Which would have been a horrible idea because we would have just been making out the whole time.
[text] What do you mean?
[text] I mean S.H.I.E.L.D. is rewarding me for time served for all the Hydra intel I’ve given them.
[text] I’m not going back to the cage.

"I need to know that you're not going to wake up in the morning and feel differently." // "Jesus Christ, don't you fucking get it? We're over." // "I'm scared of not being with you." // "Please don't leave me. Stay."
“I need to know that you’re not going to wake up in the morning and feel differently.”
It took Rayne a moment to realize that James had actually stopped kissing her skin. Her eyes fluttered open and found his amber ones, her lips still parted as she gazed at him. God, he really was perfect wasn’t he? She had no idea how she had managed to get so lucky to find a boyfriend like him. A boyfriend who was so kind and amazing. Someone willing to put up with her constant rants about whether they should keep going with the direction with the new Avengers comics and why Marvel was better than DC without so much as a word of complaint even though he had no idea what she was talking about. A boyfriend who, because of her past, had been so patient for this moment, the moment when she was going to give herself to him like she’d never given to anyone before. She nibbled on her kiss swollen lip as she continued to look at him, one of her hands slipping into his hair, massaging his scalp gently. “The only thing I’m going to be thinking about in the morning is how much I love you.” Rayne told him sincerely, leaning down for a chaste kiss. “I want all of you, and I want you to have all of me. No more arguments.” She said, nuzzling against him.
“Jesus Christ, don’t you fucking get it? We’re over.”
Noel knew that this reaction had been coming for a long time. She had been waiting for it pretty much ever since she had gotten back from the hospital. She had tried to avoid it as much as she could, but she knew that it was probably hopeless, and of course it turns out she was right. Beck had been walking on eggshells around her for far too long, and it had built up to this fight. He was letting out all his anger about this whole situation out on her, and even though Noel knew that she was at fault for a majority of this, and probably deserved everything that he was currently yelling at her for, she couldn’t help but get pissed off at his words and suddenly found herself standing up and shoving her seat back under the table as she stomped her way over to him. “Like hell it is. What gives you the right, Beckett Fields? What the hell do you think gives you the right to try and end this with me after what we’ve gone through? How many secrets were you keeping me from me when we first started hooking up? And what did I do when I found out about what that asshole did to you? I went and fucking confronted him! Made sure he could never hurt you again! Now you find out I kept something from you, and you’re so pissed off all you can think about is breaking up with me! You are such a fucking dick! And news flash, you’re not going to do it, and you want to know why? Because I need you. I need you! I lost a baby! I lost our baby, and I know it’s all my fault, but I feel like I’m dying everyday, and as much as you piss me off, and god believe me you do, you’re the only damn thing that makes me happy, and I - I can’t lose you too, I just can’t.” She didn’t know at what point tears started falling down her face, but she didn’t care anymore. She brushed them away roughly, turning her face away from him.
“I’m scared of not being with you.”
Katrina’s shaking hand brushed through Micah’s hair as her lips pressed to the top of his head. She had no idea how long they had been sitting here like this, her in his lap with his face buried in her shoulder, his arms wrapped so tightly around her that when she moved she had difficulty breathing, but for the life of her she would never pull away from him. She could still hear the tv playing the news in the background, but she chose not to listen to it. She couldn’t hear any more about the plane crash. The plane crash that she was supposed to be in. The plane crash that she would have died in if she hadn’t stayed up all night before talking to the boy who was now in her arms. Neither of them had been able to stop shaking since she had walked in the door. She didn’t understand his reaction when she had walked in, but now she knew. He thought she was dead, and she almost had been. She didn’t want to think about it. She didn’t want to think about how she had almost died without letting Micah know that she loved him, but now she was afraid that if she did tell him, he would just think it was from the shock of what had almost happened. So she didn’t say it. Katrina just pressed a kiss to the top of his head, holding him tighter. “I’m scared of not being with you too.” She murmured quietly.
“Please don’t leave me. Stay.”
God, Logan didn’t want to leave her. In fact his whole body was practically screaming about how he should not leave her, and he should be focusing on finding some other way to get the both of them out as quickly as possible, but the important part of his brain, the cop part of his brain was telling him that there was only one way out of this that guaranteed her safety, and it was not with him. “Jude, you have to stay here. Do what I told you. I’m going to go draw them out, and once they’re all paying attention to me, you need to take that door right there. It’ll let you out the front, you need to take this.” He slipped the gun out of his pocket and handed it to her. “In case there’s someone out there. Remember, don’t get the magazine and the safety release mixed up, and aim carefully. Take your time.” He turned his gaze back to the people starting to gather around the door that he was currently hiding behind with Jude. He knew he would have to get out of there soon. His window of opportunity was going to be really short, and he had to get out of there quick. “Please, be careful,” he told her, leaning forward to kiss her forehead. “See you soon,” he told her, not sure whether he was reassuring himself or her before pulling out his second service weapon and diving outside the door.
