is it accurate to say the main difference with httyd vs the books is that everyone's more of a dick there

?? do you mean everyone is more of a dick in the animated franchise or more in the books? sorry i'm confused by the wording.

but either way, i do not think that's accurate for saying that's the main difference between the books and the animated franchise

#the messaging and the characters and overall story directions are the main difference.#the thing with characters being dicks is just banter/sarcasm/dry remarks which both the animated franchise & books have.#the books are more british in their version versus the more usamerican/slightly canadian (bc of jay baruchel voicing hiccup) animated stuff #but the snark & banter & making fun of others & characters laughing at each other's expense? in both #the books do have more straight cruelty esp as you get to the longer more complicated ones #like books 9 through 12? good lord LOL #and it also depends on your definition of what makes someone a dick lol #snotlout in both versions is a dick #but book snotlout is more cruel.#so he could be the bigger dick #but dick might be too light of a word for him lol #animated snotlout is annoying & loud & constantly gets in ppl's faces & makes shitty remarks at the expense of others #but he's not as blatantly cruel as often #ergo prob more of a dick #idk.#rose answers #bobosmith01 #httyd #httyd books #they're so different tonally & messaging & plot & characters it's.#that who's more a dick isn't quite??? grasping the full picture.#edit: i will say it's been a VERY long time since i read the books. i could be 100% wrong.

It was streamed Sunday morning in my time zone, so I caught roughly half of it. I missed Undertale Noelle's debut but caught Dess in Hotland High!!! She's giving off awkward Kris vibes so far. I thought, "Why is her high school so far from Snowdin?! Unless she lives there...?" O_o

AKXBWKFJ did I miss any other reindeer monster sightings??? Carol, where are you?!

Toby's shout-out to Korean fans took me by surprise that I wrote a post about what I know about his Seoul visit here. (Cool that he mentioned the fans made from the Korean demo btw because I remember playing that!!!) I hope the stream helps him establish connections with the organizers of the Undertale convention, if that's who he was talking about!
