Unaware hypno my fav. Maybe a hero undercover gets called into his boss's (the villain's) office and the villain starts talking and they:re going on and on and the hero's focus starts to slip, slowly, but surely slipping deeper and deeper into trance.
Also hypno where they're so transfixed with the object they want to steal that they don't notice that there is someone holding it (I actually wrote a thing with that method of hypno).

Big fan of unaware hypno as well, so I'm drawn to tropes with pheromones or spores or psychic abilities. just continuously exposing them to a bit of your power until they start to crave it 🖤
I'm not much of a writer but that first prompt..... oooo wonderful. The hero's spending so much focus trying to deduce if their cover's been blown, maybe they're trying to read the villains body language or is too caught up in their own calculations that they don't realize it's the lull of the villain's voice that's making them calmer... By the time the villain does reveal they know who the hero is and why they're here the poor little hero doesn't even have the capacity to be afraid anymore. Why would they be afraid? Everything's as it should be.
