back in 2016 I visited Luxembourg, Luxembourg and visited the Bock Casemates (basically like a...fortress/military outpost dug inside the cliffs)
And I got LOST in there somehow because there were tons of winding passages that went deeper into the place and I’m honestly not sure if I was supposed to be in some of those areas because they weren’t. On the map I was given.
And these were inside the cliff so no windows or anything and also no cell service! And it was quiet mostly, though I could still hear the wind and rain outside. So I was just wandering through blindly not knowing where I was going until I got to like, what I thought was an exit only to find that it was a locked gate that was clearly only accessible by people who worked for the city or whoever manages the Casemates. So I had to turn around and try again.
I literally started panicking a little because I had no clue where I was or if I was going the right way or if I was just stuck in there but eventually I found my way out and to my relief it had been as long as it felt (like an hour or so) and not like, 4 days
my conclusion is that the Bock Casemates are worth visiting but don’t go alone
