Bock Beer Day! The beer we now know as bock originated in the Northern German city of Einbeck, probably as far back as the 1400s. By the 1600s it was being brewed in the Munich area of Southern Germany. The name “Einbeck” was pronounced as “Einbock” in the Bavarian accent of the region – and “einbock” means “billy goat” in German. Shortened to “bock,” the name remains with us today, as does the visual pun of the goat on the label. Since the traditional release of bock as a winter/spring seasonal falls under the astrological sign of Capricorn, it is often speculated that this may also have something to do with the goat. Another bit of wit claims that since bock is a strong beer, it gives one the “kick of the goat.” #BockBeerDay #BockBeer 🍺 #FoodConsultant #FoodService #FoodServiceSolutions #FoodSales #NonFoodSolutions #Food #DisposableSolutions #WeKnowFood #NobertSales #FoodOfTheDay @NobertSales (at Germantown, Tennessee) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMuBwkKlvVN/?igshid=1r2tgliaay9b0
