Boden a made a point of not bringing up that he knew her birthday was around the corner. Instead, he acted as if Saturday was like any weekend. Even made a point of saying he’d try stopover in between some work commitments he had. Standing outside the door he gave a hardy knock and stood back. When the door swung open he smiled wide. Dressed in a navy suit, embellished with a tie, he stood with a dozen long stem roses in white box. A teasing tone tinged his voice as he greeted, “Come on Birthday girl you need to go put on your best party dress. We’ve places to be!”
Aiden had planned on having a lazy day. She didn’t really have any big plans and she answered any texts or calls of birthday wishes. She didn’t see the point of celebrating when the person she wanted to be with was working. Though imagine her shock when she opened that door, seeing him dressed like that. She had to look him over twice before chuckling. “I thought you were busy today.” She said after pressing a kiss to his lips. “These are so beautiful. Let me put them in a vase and I’ll go get dressed up.”
