Boden a made a point of not bringing up that he knew her birthday was around the corner. Instead, he acted as if Saturday was like any weekend. Even made a point of saying he’d try stopover in between some work commitments he had. Standing outside the door he gave a hardy knock and stood back. When the door swung open he smiled wide. Dressed in a navy suit, embellished with a tie, he stood with a dozen long stem roses in white box. A teasing tone tinged his voice as he greeted, “Come on Birthday girl you need to go put on your best party dress. We’ve places to be!”

Aiden had planned on having a lazy day. She didn’t really have any big plans and she answered any texts or calls of birthday wishes. She didn’t see the point of celebrating when the person she wanted to be with was working. Though imagine her shock when she opened that door, seeing him dressed like that. She had to look him over twice before chuckling. “I thought you were busy today.” She said after pressing a kiss to his lips. “These are so beautiful. Let me put them in a vase and I’ll go get dressed up.”

he didn’t use to, at any rate. he’s been largely unconcerned with stuff like that, he finds the notion kind of unrealistic and frivolous, you know? he couldn’t even positively tell you if he believes in the soul. 

like, it’s ultimately a very romantic notion and while he absolutely can be romantic he’s also a teenager and he’s very unconcerned with stuff like that. if soulmates exist he just assumes he hasn’t met his anyway, so it’s nothing he’s too bothered with.

of course now, since he’s, you know, turned into a wolf, if you asked him now he’d be less sure in that dismissal. because if people can turn into wolves and other things, why not souls, why not soulmates? what the hell does he know? 

but he doesn’t like to think about it much because he finds it kinda … a bit depressing haha since that means you only have one shot at something truly meaningful and that’s just kinda sad. you should have more shots at everything, including finding someone to click with. 

so like tl;dr no but also who knows, the werewolf sure doesn’t know.

incredibly so! when she feels very comfortable with someone she’ll be touching them a lot, often playfully climbing on them or draping herself over them, prop her head or feet in their lap, lean on their shoulder, tuck her head beneath their chin …

there’s also a very catlike nature in her affection because, you know, she’s often a cat. she’s less likely to hold your hand than to just curl up next to you with her head on your thigh, and she’d sooner climb onto your back for a piggy-back ride than kiss in public haha

this is also because she’s very playful both as a person and as a cat, so it’s compounded by her want to play with the person she’s dating and to be herself with them. she would be less concerned about conforming to human affections and would just be kind of all over the place but very, very cute about it, basically.

Neoma was in foster care all of her childhood and never stayed in a home longer than a year. Because of this, she shifted around from school to school. This, combined with the difficulty of her empathic abilities, didn’t give her many opportunities for real socialization. She was never able to put down roots or make friends until she was in her teens, when she ran away from the foster care system and lived on the streets. Even that wasn’t really very stable, until Mason found her and brought her to the Kindheart Coven.
