Today's moment of awesome... my mother and I got into a conversation about 50 Shades Of Grey after seeing a big display of it in a local bookstore. This led to a conversation about bodice-rippers and writing erotica.

Mum was *totally* unsurprised to hear that I was one of the writers who'd discovered a talent for writing rauchy sex scenes, and thought my writing bodice-rippers was a great and hillarious (in a good way) idea. She thinks I could do it really well.

She even admitted to having a (non-raunchy) story in he head she's never written.

This was both unexpected and awesome. I thought she'd be embarressed with the idea of me doing such a thing... but apparently not.
