Saturday gym workout
Really great workout at the gym today. It was nice out, so when I got there around 2:15 it was almost empty.
Warm up: run 5 minutes at 6mph Circuit 1: repeat 3x Row 500m Body blasters: 10x (burpee, jump to parallel pull up grips, pull up, tuck knees to elbows -- pretty much did these in sets of 1, with a little rest in between each single) Skills: Handstand push ups (see my video in the next post; I probably did about 25 total in 2s, 3s, and 4s) Squats: set 1 10x 65#; set 2 10x 75#; set 3 8x 85; set 4 8x 95; set 5 3x 105 (really need to work on my form; video showed hips not below knees at the heaviest weight) Circuit 2: repeat 3x Deadlifts on platform 10x; set 1 40#; set 2 50#; set 3 60# Lunge to step up on platform 10x e/s 30# (could have done more weight) Med ball slams 10x e/s ~9# (4 kg)
Add on: toes to bars 3 sets of 5x. The bar HURTS my hands. I NEED GLOVES.
